Brockers are interviewed in Patrick Cain’s new article at Global news. He writes:
Is a second citizenship in the United States an asset? It depends.
Many Canadians have built careers in the U.S. that were simplified by the accident of their birthplace, or of a parent’s. If you want to work in the U.S., it’s useful to not have to worry about visas and green cards. (“Home is the place where, when you go there, they have to let you in,” wrote New England poet Robert Frost.)
But it became a potential liability in February when Canada made a deal with the U.S. on the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, or FATCA.

@The_Animal, I’ve never understood how the US military does cost/benefit analysis. They must have all flunked math!
19 terrorists spent $500,000 total on expenses and killed thousands of innocent American civilians on American soil. The US military responded by spending trillions of dollars and invading 2 countries. Yet the country most of the terrorists came from was never invaded.
While they were spending trillions of dollars invading 2 countries, the man they were hunting for was living in a house in the military compound of their ally Pakistan for 6 years. Is the American military really THAT stupid? I thought they were listening in on everybody’s conversations.
The US military is not stupid but the American people are. It was their money that was wasted on those wars with most of it going to the arms industry and the wall street banks. I’m not a fan of Michael Moore (I like guns) but he certainly got it right with Fahrenheit 911.
@OMG ang@SamuelAdams
I agree with you both.
@ Cindy63
“I think a little venting serves a purpose.”
I think you are right.
Bubblebustin has the most number of invitations to “Ex-Americans in Canada”. But when I joined this group again, I got a reply from nothernstar. Bubble and northern what is going on?

That’s not true. Anyone here know how many towers fell on 911? Please click on all 2177 names on this list for their comments and then report back to me with your conclusion on who actually were the terrorists that destroyed the THREE towers that day in Manhattan

Please everyone watch proof that 911 was an inside job

CRUCIAL INFORMATION ON GOVERNMENTS STEALING YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS
http://investmentwatchblog.com/is-it-imaginable-that-governments-would-confiscate-your-bank-account/
Folks–I think another strategy we could use is to encourage the smaller canadian banks to stop using the US dollar as a possible form of payment/account. The first bank in Canada to drop the US dollar (in other words, cut off its US correspondent banking relationships) automatically frees itself from any US blackmail.
Imagine the publicity and Brockers and everyone else could support the bank by opening accounts there.
I see this happening for sure in Europe with the smaller banks. Many of the smaller banks there, especially in smaller countries in smaller cities, barely use the USD at all. I think if FATCA really gets going, some of these banks just drop the USD completely. Then, those customers who want to avoid FATCA would know where to bank. Ironically, FATCA could make tax evasion a whole lot easier…
I won’t cheer for anyone’s death; a suicide, a banker’s or anyone’s. When there has been suicide in a family, reading something like this is very hurtful. I hate seeing these notices on this blog!
Ok now we KNOW that CBE is a batshit crazy conspiracy theorist. Time to ignore everything he says-including his advice to buy bullion and bury it in your yard.
What is the purpose of putting up the info about someone’s suicide? I have lost family members & friends this way…. its not a celebration… its a frigging tragic turn of events… that this was their only way out… so what they were bankers… so what… they were humans & someone’s family… Your glee makes u look like a fanatic & how does it help anything?
I agree. Suicide is a tragedy. I also don’t believe in that kind of Schadenfreude.
And I also don’t think there is any need for sensationalism – thats the kind of journalism that has a bad name.
I hate the banks and Wall Street immensely but I agree with others here on IBS that it is not right to celebrated suicide of anyone. This is not a good thing to do.
Watch out for the Fucking Gestapo Pigs who arrest people for NO REASON. Anyone want to argue that the NAZIs are not in control? People, whether you like or you don’t like this side commentary stick with us as a family. You won’t find good help anywhere else so you are just going to have to wake up to reality. This kind of thing is happening daily around the USA and Canada.

Get real, Bankers are trash. I don’t care if they kill themselves. They are trying to kill us. Stop the apologies. This system is about to come crashing down and this is cause to rejoice but anyway these are not suicides in reality, they are murders designed to look like suicides. When are people here going to stop worrying about whether we look like fanatics or not? We are in a war. Tell you what, I’ll take the low road and you take the high road and we will meet in the same place but I will state my opinion along the way because I’m not going to wimp out or play like we have any real rights or law and order in this country. They are trying to kill us so fuck them. Why should I care if this is sad? We are not dealing with human beings with feelings. Sorry, They have ruined my life so I don’t care if they die and they don’t care if we do. In Chicago punks used to kill to get a pair of Air Jordans. Any you want to be apologetic to the scum who are trying to steal our lives from us? YOU need to stop this bullshit and call a spade a spade
Duke of Devon
Right, ignore me on bullion ha ha ha. You have just shown what you really are. I don’t share your faith in our economic system. Do what you want but some people here buy gold because they want to protect themselves. You want to leave your money in a transnational bank so it can be confiscated or lose value from inflation? What do you suggest as an investment instead of leaving your money in the bank getting 1% and leaving it exposed to sudden closures or other losses? Looking forward to your list.
Last comment on this again and apologise for deviating from the boring tax detail stuff that puts me to sleep or gets my blood pressure up because of the feeling of being terrorized.
Question…..why are there so many bleeding hearts here that care about some of our oppressors getting what they deserve but who is crying for those among US who commit suicide? And you know this isn’t happening? ?
I wasn’t sad to see this asshole from Goebbles SS kill himself either yesterday.

oh yeah and we are worried about public perception? I’m not. The beggars and pleaders here who try to come across as civilized against an uncivilized government are met with laughs and derision by the powers they appeal to. You can’t see that by now? No publicity is bad publicity as long as it attracts attention to this CBT crime. We are the people, the BANKS have declared war on the people, lie to them, collect information for Adolph Obama and even steal from little kids by not giving them an incentive to save, giving them zero interest. Fuck these bankers…ALL OF THEM. —-PIGS
Oh dear. This thread won’t give a newcomer to the site a great impression. Although I admire Petros’ consistent stance against censorship at IBS, you have to wonder sometimes whether it wouldn’t be the lesser evil.
I find coming here to Brock is a lot like going to the stable to see my horse. In both places you’ll find strength, inspiration and even beauty, but you still have to watch where you step.
What an observation, Deb. We should use that when things get dicey and people don’t stick to the purposes of this blog.
@ChearsBigEars,
What’s up with all the libertarian gobbledygook?
I like to read infowars from time to time. I also like gold and don’t trust central banking. But I don’t try to shove these things down other people’s throats.
You’ve made many good contributions here but can you please put your foot on the brakes with all this stuff? Its really getting to be “over the top,” even for me, the quintessential libertarian.
FTW
I am thriving on the articles and posts here. I’ve lived outside of the USA for 50 years and have never filed an IRS return. Why would I? I just learned the disaster included me a few weeks ago. The whole thing is insane. To expose myself and my French husband, no, both on principle and common sense. He doesn’t believe me when I try to tell him what is happening. Another case of ripping a family apart.
Yes to relinquish. I do know, and have got my story straight, thanks to all of you, that I want to relinquish my US citizenship. I was naturalized to become French in 1996. But so far the US Embassy only seems to offer “renounce”. Any ideas about how to insist so they cannot or won’t refuse my relinquish? Will they not give me an appointment? Will they delay my relinquishment? Now I fear every part of US government.
Thanks for possible comments, but most of all thanks for being people who have their heads on straight.
