Thank you Trish. It’s important for the public to know that this problem doesn’t end with renunciation, that Canadians like you are committed to defending Canada – and not just saving your own skin.
You look like a professional. I would have been screaming. Very nice.
Well done, Tricia! Thank you!!!
Nice job!
Wow! You explained it so well! That is so hard to do. And you came across like a real pro at being interviewed on tv.
Trish,
You sounded great. I am having computer problems I could not see you on my tablet but I heard you and now on my desk top I can not see nor hear your. Hopefully my son can solve the problem when He calls me back.
It was so short but that is norm for tv.
Our numerous appearances on Independent Nation and That Channel have made Tricia into a very polished talking head!
Thanks Tricia. Well done! Interviews are never long enough but perhaps it will be just enough for people to come to our site and get informed about this abusive behavior of the USA/IRS.
Great work, Tricia!!! Thanks for representing so well all of the many Canadians affected by this.
Closing quote: “That’s not right and the Canadian government should have stood up for its citizens.”
Great job Trish. Our government may not have stood up for us but you have. Thank you!
Terrific interview Tricia. You put a kind, thoughtful, informative face on a mean spirited order. Your calmness did a lot to get the facts across clearly.
This is a good spot as many Canadians watch this program getting ready for work. Thank you on behalf of us all.
I was also very impressed!
Thank you a very big thank you from across the pond.
Tricia
You looked fabulous in the interview!!
@everybody,
Thanks for your kind comments. It’s always odd in that I cannot even remember what was asked, nevermind what was said. I had spoken briefly last night with Jessica (posted somewhere that she was looking for people to appear) and only at the end did I realize I was saying a lot of things that didn’t apply to what she said they wanted. I was delightfully surprised to hear Jeff’s questions and felt he had a very good grip on the situation. He also wondered when this would become bigger and I told him once someone really gets “nailed” that this would become impossible for the govt and the compliance industry to continue to brush aside. Afterwards, a fellow came down to tell me about his wife, who is a USC who is seriously considering renouncing, after having become compliant (pd $15,000 in tax!), worried etc. There were folks in another areas of production who had had green cards (of course, they assumed they couldn’t possibly be affected just because cards expired). We had quite a discussion in the green room. They were astounded to hear we had to pay anything to renounce; first free, then gasped $450 and were completely shocked to hear $2350. They all felt it was totally unreasonable to have to pay to give up USC.
This same thing has happened nearly every time I go to the post office to pick up the cheques/do the deposits if Stephen is away. One can’t help but overhear that so-and-so is sending a package to the US or has received one. The atmosphere there is quite relaxed so I have asked whether they are American. Many are, many know people affected by this. So sooner or later, the scope of this issue is going to be in the public eye and I think the outrage is going to grow. Considerably.
Peter, one always can improve. But I don’t think I could even attempt doing this if we hadn’t done those programs. I did miss the fact you were not there!
Tricia Moon has always been at the top of my list of heroes, now she gets a gold star beside her name.
If I haven’t made it clear Tricia, I am grateful.
“He also wondered when this would become bigger and I told him once someone really gets “nailed””
This will become bigger when the major media sources stop accepting advertizing dollars from the banks.
This is really GREAT coverage. I especially like how the effect on her husband’s purely Canadian finances were calmly explained. Also the on-screen title of ADCS – I bet a lot of poeple will Google that now! Is the interview aired nationally?
And its easy to distribute by just forwarding the link. Broadcasters keep track of Internet traffic – the more people click and view, the more interest is evident – and the more newsworthy it becomes. Letters to Canada Am in follow-up are good as well.
I note that when Googling “Canadian Sovereignty”, the ADCS website is among the top dozen returns. Everyone should repeatedly Google combinations of “Alliance + Defence + Canadian + Sovereignty” and “reward” Google’s search by clicking thru to ADCS. Searches that get click-thrus may improve ADCS position in a Google search (or so I’m told…).
High five!
Yay Trish! Excellent Interview! And you looked gorgeous!
Kudos, Tricia. Well done!
Love it. Very well done – interviews like this are not easy.
@ Tricia
I’m late to the Tricia party today but I just want to add my big WOW and even bigger THANK YOU! My potential extortion fees (i.e. fines or penalties to the IRS) so far exceed my savings deposits that compliance isn’t even on my radar anymore. They’ll have to seek out my savings deposits and then steal them — with NO cooperation from me. I don’t think they can garnish my CPP/OAS so you and Stephen know how much my husband and I would have to live on if the worst happens. That’s why contributing to ADCS has become my best (hopefully not my last) hope. (Also longevity is not one of my family traits so that turns out to be a good thing.)
I and 99.9% of us could not do what you and our other beautiful talking Brockers like Petros, GwEvil & calgary411 are doing so we will have to be the wind beneath your wings and that means funding ADCS as best we can.
Wow you look good Tricia! Plus you’re smart!
