Merry Christmas Brockers from your elf allies at Maple Sandbox.
Did you know Santa Is A Canadian Citizen?
At Maple Sandbox, we have warned IRS not to FATCA (Foreign Account TOY Compliance Act) or to FCAR (Foreign Cookie Account Report) Santa.
We have also wished IRS a lump of coal in their stocking this year because they have been so naughty.
For all of you, we wish you a gaily wrapped gift of freedom from IRS tyranny and a happy and prosperous 2013 free from IRS intrusion into your lives.
The IRS is claiming that Santa owes back taxes because he has dual citizenship according to the U.S. Riiiight and pigs fly! Damned greedy US buggers!!!
Well done Blaze!

Thanks, Blaze, for putting this important story out there!!
May it be a new year of accomplishment in pushing back on FATCA. I do think so many here have made a difference in awareness. It must continue.
Thanks to this blog, Petros’ Isaac Brock Society, and our sister blog, Blaze’s and outraged’s Maple Sandbox, for all we’ve learned and for all the support we’ve received.
Happy Holidays everyone.
Best wishes of the holiday season to all participants of and visitors to both websites (except for any USG trolls who might be monitoring; I echo and extend Blaze’s wishes for lumps of coal to YOUR stockings).
@Animal That guy’s an imposter made to look like a US person decked out in red, white and blue as the greedy IRS grinch tries to nail Santa.
Everyone knows the real Santa wears only red and white–Canada’s colours. It was one of the reasons Jason Kenney declared Santa a Canadian Citizen in 2008.
Plus, Santa’s address is known to children around the world. Santa Claus North Pole Canada HOH OHO.
At the time, CRA did not respond to questions about whether Santa is a registered taxpayer. Of course, they didn’t. CRA would not expect Santa to file taxes. Only USA would dare do that.
Two years ago, Santa Reaffirmed His Canadian Citizenship in a citizenship ceremony in Calgary with 100 people from 32 countries.
HO HO HO! Merry Christmas Everyone!
@ Blaze
A perfect post for this season — very clever. Merry Christmas to you and to everyone! I expect 2013 to be a bumpy ride but luckily we all know where to get the latest news and the most reasoned discussions — a bit of respite from the FATCA storm. And if the Mayans and the 5th Dimension are right, then this is the dawning of the Age of Awakefulness. We have to force the FATCA ogre out of the darkness and let the sunshine in. Guess what tune has been running through my head lately. π
The AARO Daily (Association of Americans Resident Overseas) is a very nice new site with lots of links to IBS posts. Perhaps a link could be made to it.

@ John Brown
I see Santa’s busiest elf, Just Me, has posted Blaze’s Christmas contribution and other good links at AARO. Thanks for finding that site — looks like a good resource.
Just Me is busy indeed, his posts are everywhere– true dedication to helping Americans abroad.
@Blaze… Sing it out! π
@JustMe: We’re showing out age! That brings back to many memories of the 1960s.
@John Brown
There are two others that pick up our tweets and convey them to a broader, non tweeting audience by both email, and daily tweets. Another reason for more Brockers to tweet. You might want to subscribe to them.

@Blaze
Yea, the 60’s, the last time the youth actually protested something rather than just going shopping at the mall while texting on their I-phones. π
@ Just Me,
Quite an appropriate video, Hair. It was a great era, and definitely different than now. If someone had told me in 1968 that someday theUS would try to destroy my life, I wouldβve thought they were on drugs π
Then just over a year ago as I was easing into retirement, thisUS disaster erupted β after initial despair and depression, I picked myself up, and have been feeling like a 60s activist ever since!
May the New Year bring each of us ever closer to peace and freedom. Cheers!

@Duke of Devon
Thanks for the reminder of what it’s like to live in the ‘real’ Canada. Merry Christmas from Lotusland.
*I just want to wish everyone at Isaac Brock a Me rryChristmas and to thank house all so much for your ongoing support and helpful information. I wish everyone the best
I also wish everyone Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year! May 2013 bring peace of mind and contentedness to all those who are unduly and unjustly suffering due to US legislation.
Merry Christmas from NZ shores. What I haven’t figured out, is how the Canadian Santa visits New Zealand before he get around to favoring the North American Continent the night before the day before Christmas in Canada! π
*@My Brocker Friends, Have a Wonderful Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Thank you for all your support and great advice this past year, it was so appreciated. You are such a wonderful group, I am so proud to be associated with IBS..
Let’s hope and pray that 2013 will be a better year. No Stress!! (Wouldn’t that be nice)
@Just Me, Pacifica, Tiger, Calgary411, Schubert, Saddened and others of a certain age:
Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end. We’d sing and dance forever and a day. We’d live the life we choose. We’d fight and never lose. For we were young and sure to have our way. Oh yes, those were the days.
Then the 60s were the era of our youth. Now, it’s our age. Yikes! How did that happen?!?
We still just want to live the life we choose free of IRS. But, we’re still determined to fight and never lose!
To Everyone: Has Santa been to your country yet? Check it out on NORAD Santa Tracker.
Have a Cool Yule!
@Blaze..
@Blaze.
Merry Christmas from President Obama
And there are more. Too cute not to put up a couple here.
