CBT is a many splendored thing. Let’s see kids, what FATCA has done for its’ beloved “US persons” abroad (those dirty traitors).
But before we get started you kids have to remember that, while overseas, Uncle Sammy wants you to have fun for sure, hooray, but he also wants you be safe. That’s why Uncle Sammy put together a list of “can nots”, or, as he likes to call them “kants”.
Here’s a short list of kants, and remember kiddies Uncle Sammy does this because…why? I-can’t-hear-youuuu…because WHY? That’s right! Becuz he loves individual freedom. Goood. Now let’s see some of the the kants for you pesky expats, US Persons and axidentals…
Kant #1 Kant open a bank account.
Kant# 2 Kant get a real estate loan.
Kant# 3 Kant get a business loan.
Kant# 4 Kant join a mutual fund.
Kant# 5 Kant get hired.
Kant# 6 Kant retire on your savings.
Kant# 7 Kant keep the IRS out of your non US spouse’s bank account.
Kant# 8 Kant do your tax compliance forms for under 4 thousand dollars.
Kant# 9 Kant vote in a US national election.
Kant# 10 Kant get Medicaid, Medicair, VA benefits or any other federal benefit programs.
Well kids that’s just a short list of kants. Aren’t they fun? You bet they are. Hey, you may want to add a few yourself.
Just remember, we’re numba one! We are the greatest country in the world and no matter where you are and how bad it all gets Uncle Sammy is there to make you smile.
Just buy gold and silver coins.
Get your money OUT of the wholle financial mafia scam before it’s to late.
Some countries celebrate their diaspora. There are at least seven German-language television series on Germans and Swiss who have emigrated for a new life abroad. Here’s a list:
1. Goodby Deutschland: Die Auswanderer (Vox)
2. Auf und davon (SRF)
3. Mein neues Leben (Kabel eins)
4. Adieu Heimat – Schweizer wandern aus (3+)
5. Zwischen Meer und Maloche (Kabel eins)
6. Die Reimanns – Ein aussergewöhnliches Leben (RTL)
7. Hin und Weg – Der Auslandscheck (TV25)
The quality varies from reality tv fare to serious documentary efforts, but that’s another topic.
