Here at the Isaac Brock Society some of us were able to avail ourselves of a Tardis in our research for posts. Here is a quote of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from a post (January 30, 2014) about China’s version of FATCA, CHATCA:
Despite its good intentions, the unfortunate consequence of CHATCA is that people of Chinese ancestry hold dual citizenship with China and still fall under its authority, and CHATCA requires access to their financial information through their banks. As a result of CHATCA, there has been a surge in DNA tests to prove lack of Han ancestry, and this trend continues to grow.
Now all we need is a Chelsea Clinton presidency. We are at least four years from that, since Hillary wanted to give it another try.
hmmmm….nice hair do, sexy in an unruly sort of way. Much tamer now that he is our PM which is nice too. Not sure which I like best. Ladies?
“As a result of CHATCA, there has been a surge in DNA tests to prove lack of Han ancestry”
Does that mean Uighurs have proof that they AREN’T Chinese citizens, so China can’t get their banking information?
“nice hair do, sexy in an unruly sort of way”
I preferred the video of Kim Kardashian and someone else that BC Doc posted in another thread a few days ago. Had to turn off the sound in order to keep from throwing up all over my keyboard, but the video was nice.
@ND re: “I preferred the video of Kim Kardashian and someone else that BC Doc posted ”
Someone else? You mean Kanye West? He is is NOT hotter than JT. Or were you referring to the James Franco/Seth Rogen duo? (also NOT hotter!)
@Whitekat,
It is clear that in Canada anyways, politics is no longer show business for the ugly.
@Petros, Actually all this focus on JT’s looks rather than his qualifications is nothing but objectification of men. I am ashamed.
Phew…its OK, no need for me to feel guilty. Apparently although when the sexes are reversed it is sexism, when women objectify men, it only makes them(men) more powerful.
From Rabble.ca:
“…You may be disturbed or annoyed by the shirtless photos and swoony responses to our new PM, but that concern shouldn’t come from a sense of worry that Trudeau will be hurt — socially, politically or personally — by this so-called “sexist objectification.” Because that is simply not what is happening. It’s not as though Canadians will now see him as a vapid, slutty, airhead with nothing to recommend him but his pecs or as someone who got ahead through either fuckability or literal fucking. The reality is that these sexy pics and the fact that so many find him physically attractive serves to enhance his power rather than diminish it. This is because he is not a woman. He is a man. And a powerful one at that.”

Some are asking why I used this picture. Well, I wanted to convey the idea that our PM is our champion. He will stand up against China if and when CHATCA comes to town, just as he has stood against the USA on FATCA.
Petros, this is an important topic. I think you should sticky this post so it stays near the top.
Obama speaks for Canada, says both countries will soon sign the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/obama-speaks-for-canada-saying-both-countries-will-soon-sign-the-trans-pacific-partnership-agreement
Will Obama also speak for Canada and tell JT that Canada has no choice other than to be FATCA’d? Brockers impatiently wait and watch.
It’s strange to me that Obama refers to our honourable PM as “Justin.” Are they good buds or is there lack of respect? Does Justin refer to Obama as Barack?
“We are both soon to be signatories of the TPP agreement,” Obama said. “That’s another area we can continue to have important discussions,” he said.
“I know Justin has to agree with what’s happened, but we think that after that process has taken place, Canada, the United States and the other countries that are here can establish the high-standards agreement that protects labor, protects the environment, protects the kind of high value-added goods and services that we both excel in,” Obama said.
“I know Justin has to agree with what’s happened…” Like he has a choice. We are screwed.
“Someone else? You mean Kanye West?”
Yeah I noticed there was someone else along with Kim Kardashian in the video that BC Doc posted, though I had to turn off the sound in order to sit through the video.
“He is is NOT hotter than JT.”
Of course not. Kim Kardashian is.
Two weeks in, and the lack of substance on display is horrendous. Clearly Obama feels “Justin” is the neophyte he is. Don’t expect JT to shut down FATCA in Canada. He insists dual-citizen Canadians convicted of terrorism are worthy of our passport. “A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian” spouts JT, but even terrorists rank ahead of innocent dual citizens when it comes to FATCA. Obama said so
The Isaac Brock Society is a website that is managed by a group of concerned individuals who are part of our committee. We are five people right now. I have heard a few complaints in the comment stream. No one has contacted me directly and no one in the committee is asking me to step down.
The first person who ever called upon me to retire was 30-year IRS vet. So from the beginning, I’ve recognized that my posts make some people unhappy. But “the views expressed in comments and articles belong to the individual writers and do not necessarily represent the collective opinion of the Isaac Brock Society.” I.e., my posts are my opinion, just as the comments of such as Duke of Devon, et al., belong to them.
George[3/III/trois] frequently warns us about crossing the border into Mordor. I haven’t been there in nearly 20 years and will never go there in the future but maybe the following video will be useful to anyone who does go there. Anyway, here as there, it’s always good to know your rights. (NOTE: I’ve never experienced anything like the video depicts so I’m not sure I could remain as calm and cool as required.)
I haven’t watched that video yet but be warned that most people do not have the same rights crossing the border as when already present there. Regardless of citizenship, you can be searched for no reason when crossing the border.
When courts expanded the area where people could be searched for no reason to be anywhere within somewhere around 50 miles of a border, and then to be within somewhere around 1,000 miles of a border, I’d call that unconstitutional, but that’s because my eyes are too dim to see the invisible ink in the constitution.
‘He insists dual-citizen Canadians convicted of terrorism are worthy of our passport. “A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian” spouts JT, but even terrorists rank ahead of innocent dual citizens when it comes to FATCA.’
Haven’t some countries’ courts convicted people of terrorism in cases where no one thinks a Canadian court would convict the person? There are reasons why Canada shouldn’t strip people of citizenship.
FATCA doesn’t strip people of citizenship, only of property and health.
‘Obama said so’
Well, that’s the same Obama who executed a death penalty against a suspected terrorist without due process of law.
Was George’s comment censored?
‘Petros is there a time limit you will give Trudeau Deux to respond to IGA cancellation request?
Or can you not insult him ever?’
Petros and others had no hesitation in insulting Trudeau Deux; we only quibbled about the wording of the insults. Though I think for the question of responding to the IGA cancellation request, we ought to be patient for a couple of months before complaining, i.e. give him a chance to see the light.
As one Facebooker said, “you can tax the shit out of me, Justin – just keep your shirt off”.
Those words, crude as they are, may be more prophetic and profound than one might think. It pretty much sums up the uncertainty of the compromises Canadians made just to get rid of Harper.
George was asked to use a single alias. Therein lies the rub. If you use multiple aliases you can give the impression that your view is more popular than it really is.
I do not think that we must reserve our critique of the current government for some unknown date in the future. Trudeau is now king. He is still implementing FATCA. Remember, he said it was the IGA was a step in the right direction.
“George was asked to use a single alias.”
I understand. (Also I saw the request, so I doubly understand.)
I wondered why Mark Pinetree used multiple aliases. Actually if anyone knows why, I still wonder.
“If you use multiple aliases you can give the impression that your view is more popular than it really is.”
What about multiple blogs (^u^)
Poor Mark was afraid that the IRS was going to get him, I believe.
Multiple blogs? Not sure who is doing that.
“Poor Mark was afraid that the IRS was going to get him, I believe.”
And they did, though not in the way that he expected. They probably got me too, because besides their embezzler Monica Hernandez’s cohorts who framed me for fraud and injured my heart, and besides twice calendaring a Tax Court case to twice force me to postpone heart surgery, they’re also pushing me towards a relapse. Though they have help from the US Department of Justice and courts in implementing this way of getting me.
I’m not sure how the use of multiple aliases helped him though.
“Multiple blogs? Not sure who is doing that.”
Are you right(eous) about that (^u^)
Seeing that people had continued over the years trying to help answer your question about shares being lent for short sales, I contributed my answer too.
