Some of you might know that Lynne Blaze has a pre-existing medical condition. Unfortunately, Lynne just sustained a serious injury to her shoulder and won’t be fighting the FATCA fight for awhile.
She cannot predict where she will be in the immediate future and I expect that she will not be able to communicate with us for some time.
We all know Lynne’s determination to make our lives better. Her spirit shines through her pain.
Lynne asked me to pass on to us the following poem:
Lynne Blaze gave Stephen a call
Lynne Blaze had a great fallHer Sandbox and Brock friends
Hope Lynne will be put back together again.
Yes, Lynne will be put back together again, but she will be missing in action for awhile. All of us wish her the best and her quick return to fight the FATCA fight once again.
Dear Lynne / Blaze,
Sorry it took a bad fall to slow you down…
We’re wishing you a speedy recovery —
and maybe an admin assistant and a cook and housekeeper to help.
from your many friends at Isaac Brock Society and Maple Sandbox,
TAKE SPECIAL CARE!
Everyone,
I just spoke to Lynne on the phone. This morning she sounds more like the Lynne we all know (she denies this), but is still having a tough time dealing with the medical system. Yes, she could not be prevented from talking about ADCS strategies.
@EmBee is correct: Lynne asks for donations to ADCS rather than flowers.
Please send Lynne my best. Will send a donation later today.
Lynne – I’m so sorry, sending best wishes for a full and speedy recovery – and a further contribution to ADCS in your honour.
Be strong Lynne. You inspire so many …. we need you (yes that is selfish but it is true). You Blaze like a Sun in the sky.
Recover swiftly … I do not know your religion and that does not matter but I will pray for your fast recovery. Good people are just that … good people.
BTW the page views at this site are now about 11 Million …. 10.4 here plus .6 from the old site. This seems to me to be accelerating.
@ Stephen Kish
Card for Lynne with cash for ADCS is in the mail. I’m very happy to hear Lynne’s feisty spirits are intact and not at all surprised she is still able to focus on ADCS, even through her pain and the frustration induced by medical bureaucracy.
Thanks to everyone doing a “get well” contribution. Nothing could make Lynne happier than to see the first phase of the legal challenge begin. Every bit helps. π
Lynne, so sorry to hear about this. Best wishes for a full recovery. Your inspirational work is very much appreciated by many.
Lynne, do hope you’re better soon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Lynne, Goddess of Maplesandbox and pillar of IBS – so sorry to hear of your fall. I hope your healing goes well and that you take the rest you need before rejoining the fray. Know that others will carry the flag as you have so eloquently taught us to do through your unfailing efforts and courage. We are all thinking about you and send our hugs (which are better than flowers that wilt over time).
Thank you for all your efforts, Lynne. Get some well-deserved rest & recover quickly!
Lynne,
Very sorry to learn you’re sidelined with an injury. Wishing you the most speedy recovery.
Thank you for brave leadership and tireless hard work β and championing our highest values. You are a true Canadian heroine in the tradition of Laura Secord and Henrietta Muir Edwards. Get well soon.
Lynn,
So sorry to hear of your injury. Take the time for healing. Things happen for a reason and you may find the silver lining around this cloud. Every one is sending good thoughts for a speedy recovery.
@ All
Lynne posted a message over at the Maple Sandbox. I tried to leave a comment but got an “Access Denied” box — something about having to ask to be on a White List. I’ll just leave my message here until I suss this out.
@ Lynne
It’s nice to see a wee message from you today. Although it’s not the same without your blazing energy, we’ll plug on until you’re plugged in again. Keep resting even though it goes against your nature.
