Ok, so now that everyone has consumed the last of the holiday egg nog, booze and fattening treats, time to face reality: 2014 is not likely to be a celebratory year for US Persons. Robert W. Wood, frequent contributor to Forbes, has wasted no time in reminding us just how few and terrible are the choices facing most Americans abroad as the torturous countdown to FATCA approaches its final half-year:
@north of 49th…
Thanks for the heads up.
I will be packing my FA license now… π
This is outrageous.
Have faith people (and faith in people), because faith is all we got – and because human beings are pathetically inept at making predictions anyway, no matter how tuned in we might think they are. Take Isaac Asimov’s predictions for 2014, for instance:

@bubblebstin
looks like Isaac Asimov was a bit off. .
1984 has come a little late but it has come, eh?
Here is something light and less heavy than Asiov…and prettier. for 2014
It is off topic for us but we need to have some hope. and faith.
