All I have to say is welcome home. Our previous disagreements with Ms. Beale go way back to the earliest days of Isaac Brock Society back when it was just myself, JustMe, Petros, and a few others(I think Joe Smith was one too).

In the second post you can see Ms. Beale is quite dismissive of the recent spike in expatriations not surprisingly of course to those who remember old times at IBS.
Ugh and Ugh. No point in engaging her. We have more important things to do.
She seems to think that US citizens are repatriating not renouncing.
Repatriating, expatriating, tomato, tomahto.
Ignore her. She has no insight and never will have. Responding to her is a waste of time. Canada passing on an IGA is key. That is worth the effort, because if Canada passes, FATCA will unravel.
These sorts are so out of touch it is not worth engaging them. I know how many people called me this week to say they wanted to renounce or relinquish. Many had issues with a foreign spouse, one was 78 years old, another came to Canada at 1 year of age. These issues are real, not imaginary not matter how many times the crazy compliance fools try to say they are.
I know the position I was in, I know the position others are still in. I will concentrate on helping those I can to be relieved of this over reach into Canadian homes by FATCA.
After renouncing how long does it take to get to receive your cln on average. For me it has been 5months.. Is it taking longer for some reason
@ Robert,
It’s probably just stuck in the queue in DC, and not that there’s any problems with it.
The office in Washington that processes the CLNs has the world divided into five zone offices. The Western Hemisphere zone office tends to have a long turn-around time and waits of 5-6 months are unfortunately very common in it. It was backed up to a year at one point but they put on extra staff or something and cut the wait time down a bit in 2012. There’s timeline data on a chart on the Relinquishment and Renunciation Data thread, and also CLN receipt date is noted at the end of each person’s story in the Consulate Report Directory next to the date of their consulate meeting, when we are notified that they have received it.
Typical Democratic homelander who wants to suck vampire-like on the livelihood of those who actually “work for a living” and who unlike what she puts as “obligations” – actually do not use the infrastructure of those in the homeland. How do we use their roads, their services, etc etc, if we don’t even set foot in the United States? That is the misconception that really sticks in my craw. These “entitled” homelanders who want expats to pay for everything that they have really make me want to go “nuclear”.
us empire bureaucrat. Makes $$$$ selling propaganda and psy ops to the 98.7% of corporate-owned us tax base/subjects (AKA: citizens/”persons”).
Do NOT waste time on imbeciles who are stuck on cognitive dissonance. Repeal FATCA and USA citizenship based taxation.
