We have another important opportunity to make our voices heard. My post on this from a week ago might need a reminder. Please click on the link to bring up the earlier post and get those letters, tweets and emails flooding in to the “Big Six”. As somebody recently commented, “We have to be in it to win it.”
Every Senator and every representative has this choice. They know they have an approval rating of less than 10% and if left on their own, will serve one term and they’re out or they can meet the ever present lobbyist, who comes to visit with a check in their left hand and it is a large check, and a request in their right hand. Conform the right hand and the left hand is yours. It is a legal bribe and the politician really wants to stay in D.C. so the right hand request is done and the ”campaign contribution” is there. It becomes easier and easier to take the money and overwhelm any opponent in the primary and the general election. The Swamp has certain demands and anyone who endangers the Swamp must fail. Every democrat and every republican would rather see the nation fail, than see Trump succeed in draining the swamp and you can take that one to the bank, the politicians have taken it to the bank.

Thanks for trying, Gail! Give it a few days and if the same thing happens again, do let us know. Thanks!
Maybe someone could tell Congress about this court ruling? This case is about customers of Coinbase but look at this:

“Under that reasoning the IRS could request bank records for every United States customer from every bank branch in the United States because it is well known that tax liabilities in general are under reported and such records might turn up tax liabilities. It is thus no surprise that the IRS cannot cite a single case that supports such broad discretion to obtain the records of every bank-account holding American.”
Wow, the court’s reasoning strikes a blow against FATCA too. That’s the law under which, together with strongarming from the US, the US gets bank records for every customer marked by US indicia from every bank branch outside the United States because it is well known that tax liabilities in general are under reported and such records might turn up tax liabilities. Although I wouldn’t have standing in any court case on FATCA, I have to hope for the benefit of the remaining nine million members of the US’s diaspora that this court’s reasoning will stand.
Still getting mailbox full and not accepting any messages
The IRS is part of the 4th unelected (unconstitutional) branch of government and will abide by whatever their civil servant head tells them to. having a court ruling against the IRS is a slippery thing. They simply slither around and find another section of the same rule and start enforcing it again. I wish I was wrong but look at what happened when they slow walked groups whom they disagreed with and the commissioner openly defied congress and lied repeatedly when asked questions and was clearly in contempt of congress and is still commissioner. He has a large stick when it comes to enforcement and is not hesitant to use it. Congress cowers before his wrath and judges are about the same.
Gail: Would you feel comfortable sending a hard copy of your message via the good old postal system? It’s been mentioned in other threads that paper letters received through the post have a better chance of receiving attention.
I have postal mailed my letter to all members of the Big Six and I also sent copy to the president himself
That’s fabulous, Gail! Thank you!!!
Al Capone said to an aid, ” you can get more with a gun and a smile than with just a smile”. Well with congress it is almost the same. You can get what you want if you have it in your right hand and a check in you left. The congress and the Senate operate exactly the same.
A large check works better than a small one. An Insurance company tells a congressman to vote for a bill that retain most of Obama care and look at the mess we are in. The Senators are waiting for the money to be right and then they will take a new plan out of their desk. They are all in on it and that is why they all hate Trump, he wants to drain the swamp and they are all swamp creatures who love the swamp.
