March 8, 2016 UPDATE: Legal fees paid — on to Federal Court for Charter trial contesting Canadian FATCA IGA legislation.
Canadians and International Supporters:
You came through once again: $594,970 for legal costs have now been donated and our outstanding legal bill is finally paid off.
Thanks especially to those who donated even though they never had any “spare” money to give, and despite this gave over and over and over again.
This last round of fundraising also shows that our Canadian lawsuit remains dependent on the kindness of our International Friends: There would be no lawsuit without their financial help.
Know that a very generous donation (today) from a supporter in the United States made it possible to pay off the remaining legal debt. Also please appreciate that there would be no lawsuit without the help of the Isaac Brock Society which has kindly let us use its website to solicit funds.
Our next step is the Constitutional-Charter trial in Federal Court.
For this we need more Canadian Witnesses, and my next post will be devoted only to a request for Witnesses willing to go public, like our Plaintiffs Ginny and Gwen.
For the future: I want a win in Federal Court — and I want the new Liberal Government not to appeal that win.
Thank you all for your support,
Stephen Kish,
for the Directors,
Alliance for the Defence of Canadian Sovereignty

Elizabeth May on government financial decisions said *Why couldn’t a government say…GO FLY A KITE…*
@Calgary411
This is EXACTLY the issue before the courts right now with the Comer suit to restore The Bank of Canada to Canadian control instead of the International Bank of Settlements and the IMF. THEY gained control and interest free loans to Canada for infrastructure and nation building went right out the window.
Elizabeth May again is right and that little bit with Trudeau the younger being questioned about ‘restoring the Bank of Canada’ was very revealing indeed. Both his earlier comment that he would ‘leave the Bank of Canada as it is’ and the look on his face when he was asked again about restoring the Bank of Canada. He did not seem too pleased with the persistent question.
Very interesting background on Mark Carney as head of Bank of Canada. A Fox in the hen house if there ever was one.
This lawsuit is ongoing and has been since 2011.
Rocco Galati is the lawyer and the Comer group are the plaintiffs. A win to restore the Bank of Canada to Canadian control would be a huge win for sovereignty not to mention our own suits ongoing. And they have been winning. Government appeals take the money and the time.
Is it not interesting indeed that our own government with our own money fights us to restore what is good and right and in the interest of the people for whom they purport to serve.
The new government may be on some shaky ground getting started but one thing could help turn some of this around : The Court Challenge funding.
Remember it is always darkest before the dawn.
No Embee, I have been punished. But you know, its the rules.
Anyway Embee, what I would like to say to you before I leave Brock for good, is that you have got to be one of the most empathetic, sweetest persons I have ever had the privilege to have dialogue with over the net. Anyone who has you as a friend is a really lucky person. Take care.
@FuriousAC
re: ” Remember it is always darkest before the dawn.”
Yes, love this, Thank you.
@WhiteKat
I have never had a problem with what u write… u make me think of other angles… what I think is the problem is maybe the tone that some people get all riled up about… by nature… I am snarky smart ass… it is what it is… I don’t post all the time cause most of the people here know way more then I do… sometimes I throw in my nickel’s worth… but to post on any mb… u have to develop thick skin… just let it roll off your back & post away… I don’t always agree with everything but I am willing to understand the person’s viewpoint or just skip the post… this has been the only mb I post on about this issue… most think I am wearing a tin foil hat when I chat about this…
@ WhiteKat
I thought I was leaving once … it all got to be too much for me … but I came back. I hope you will too. You led the way in this fight with your countless, awesome comments and being our first picketer. Can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done. Think a bit more … drink (a bit) if it helps … stay with us … we need cats of all stripes.
@Embee, thanks. But it is really better for me if I don’t. And trust me, I’m neither needed nor wanted here, at least not by the people that matter.
Ok,,,,so this is it…my last drink of Brock. Yikes!
@FuriousAC Thank you for your kind comment above.
@2Terrified2Sleep I ran in a 5 times 10K run a few weeks back. You could either run the whole 50k yourself or run it as a team relay (run one or more legs of the relay with friends). I like to think of what we’re involved in here as a long distance relay. When I get tired or others get tired or frustrated here, there’s plenty of other teammates we can pass the baton off to while we recharge.
Mark Carney (then head of Bank of Canada) — I’ll make the change, Furious AC. Thanks for weighing in with more good information!
@Calgary411
MARK Carney. I knew when I wrote John it was wrong… 🙂 Thanks for the correction.
By any other name still a Goldman Sachs SKUNK.
Not being one to just lay down and die no matter how wounded, I sent this email to Brock mods: Petros, Pacifica, Calgary and Trish. Lets see how lenient and understanding they are of rules which can never be broken.
Dear mods,
I apologize profusely for using a second pseudonym under which to post my not so popular opinions. I understand that you have rules that shall not be broken. Rules are rules. Laws are laws. No exceptions…normally. Like FATCA and CBT and such.
Regardless the errors of my ways, considering all my efforts in the FATCA fight, I would greatly appreciate it, if as a token of respect, that you all could over look my transgressions and consider reinstating my deleted comments which took a lot of thought,emotion and effort into composing. I promise never to break your rules again.
Please also consider in your decision whether or not to acquiesce to my request, that I confessed my sin of my own free will as opposed to someone who is caught.
Thank you.
@The Mom
Thank you for the work you have done. I am happy to know you have renounced. I am very sorry for the extra stresses in your life. Windsor has had the highest unemployment rate in Canada for many years and we see many families struggling or having to leave town.
Stress takes a toll on a body, so stepping away for a time until you feel you want to come back may be a good thing.
I also find this whole thing being stressful and have my very down days where I get impatient or worry the thermometer will never move. People on this board and at Maple lift my spirits at those times. Sometimes, I step away from here for a while and try to collect my thoughts. ADSC and Gwen and I and our lawyers are working very hard behind the scenes on the lawsuit to get it moving. This is such a long process and I was given a very small patience gene at birth. You will be in my thoughts.I wish the best for you and your family.
@All. I will let you know when/if I get a reply back from my email to the Brock mods, even though I am gone from Brock. 😉
This sounds familar…..waiting for replies back from politicians and such, when you know they just want you to disappear.
If the SCC/WK comments can’t be restored here, perhaps they could be regenerated on a new thread to continue the discussion there. Would that be possible? I realize that the ADCS thread is an important sticky at the top of the Brock home page and that it’s probably best to use it primarily to encourage donations and keep us updated on the fund’s progress. I’m guilty of going off track at times and will try to do better.
@ WhiteKat,
I got your e-mail and replied to it. I’ll post my reply here as well as I see you’ve posted your e-mail above.
“Good to hear from you. We were in the process of restoring your comments prior to hearing from you. The problem is not the content – there’s plenty of comments on the site with opinions that a moderator doesn’t like. The problem is persons posting under more than one name. So, we figured if we restored the comments under both names [they now appear from SecondClassCanadian/WhiteKat], it would be clear that you’re both the same person.
Thanks for your apology. We actually were aware that SCC was WK earlier today before you posted that it was, and were about to contact you by e-mail regarding this – as we wanted to get this sorted out.
The reason we wanted to restore the posts is because they are part of the discussion on that thread and, once again, it was not the content but the use of another name that caused them to be pulled. As I said in my earlier e-mail, you are welcome to post your opinions, it does not matter if one or more mods (or anyone) don’t agree with the opinion.”
Thank you very much for speaking on behalf of the group regarding our joint decision on this, pacifica.
Maybe it was my little walk in the fresh air or more likely the sorting out here. I feel much better now. 🙂
@ calgary411
That video clip of Elizabeth May … she really is one smart cookie isn’t she. I’m so cheering for Rocco Galati to win his COMER lawsuit.
@pacifica
Thank you for explaining. Much appreciated.
A lot of us are Second Class Canadians, whether by having unpopular opinions or by law.
I was comforted by this site when seeing WhiteKat’s postings restored, especially when knowing that they didn’t “have to” be restored.
I hate to not see familiar names appearing on this web site. If WhiteKat disappears I will mourn … as with TheMom …. as I do when Petros disappears from time to time. Everyone has to do what they have to do in their meander through Life …. but …. it would be nice to see these familiar names reappear from time to time.
@nervousinvestor
I totally agree with you. Everyone’s opinions are important. I miss seeing certain “regulars ” when they don’t post for a long time. Hey…it’s ok to have a disagreement…no one should feel put aside or unimportant. We all have a story to tell and we all hope the ending will be “happily ever after” but it’s a group effort not individual people….everybody together!!
2terrified2sleep,
You’re right — everyone’s opinions are important. From the *Administrative Notice* on the right-hand side of the homepage:
I, too miss many who at one time commented here at Brock — strong voices gone. Some people have to move on for one reason or another when their lives are back to some normalcy or perhaps when they find the stress is too much. I miss many since Brock started in 2011 so long ago now. As John Richardson reminds us — this is not a sprint but a marathon.
As pacifica pointed out regarding the latest discussion, a block of comments were put into PENDING when it became very apparent to the moderators two identities were, again and at the same time, used by one commenter. Those comments were then put back into the stream of comments, with clarification in the commenter identification that one new commenter was the same as another at Brock who was also commenting at the same time. Personally, I think it respects me (and others) when I know a commenter is not also using a second alias and both are in the same comment stream. When (if) moderators catch that this is occurring, it has been and will continue to be pointed out by email to the commenter (if the email is not bogus) that, going forward, one alias will have to be chosen and used.
Again, thanks pacifica, for communicating the decision of a group of moderators that give their time here. I hope today we can move on.
@Kitty……kitty….kitty…………..say it ain’t so…….you can’t leave.
Here kitty…kitty….kitty. 🙂
@Bc_doc, my friend you are an excellent diagnostician.
Hmmm, spell check had me write dietitian at first but hey you may be good at that too!!
Anyways, you said something many moons ago…….and guess what…….you were and are right…I shall leave it at that.
Cheers, George
@ George
Welcome back. I have missed reading your comments.
