Dear Supporters,
Many of you probably predicted that I would not be saying this today, but this message is not a dream: You came up with yet another $100,000 payment — now making a total of $400,000 provided to the Arvay team.
In the last twelve days you actually donated more than $40,000 — an amazing achievement for small donors. This accomplishment proves to all those people who want us to fail — that we are very determined.
You gave until it hurt and then you gave a lot more. It’s hard not to get teary-eyed over the generosity of our supporters, who have come through every time.
We know that the pace of your litigation is painfully slow, and this is unfortunately as expected. The Government will continue to do its best to slow down the process, but we now have the assistance of a case management judge to help keep the process moving more fairly.
We filed in August 2014 and it has taken a very long time (one year) before we are finally into a (summary) trial (August 4-5, 2015). We cannot predict the outcomes of this trial, based on only part of our arguments and, with your continued support, we will prepare for all possibilities.
[Happy birthday Gwen!]
Thank you for your trust,
Stephen Kish,
ADCS-ADSC Chair,— on behalf of Plaintiffs Ginny and Gwen, their families, and the ADCS-ADSC Directors

Stephen Kish,
Président de l’ADCS-ADSC
Poof again! Just over $5500 to go.
“Yes we can!”
I too would like to thank EVERYONE involved in putting the submission together and thank everyone who submitted their stories. As I was reading through I too thought to myself, “man this was a massive undertaking”.
I have also noticed on the DA facebook page many people are taking DA to task about its pathetic SFC submission and its stance on CBT. There more people who go on there and hold DA accountable, the better. Go to their facebook page and make your thoughts known. I am doing so after I finish writing this.

Wow we have come so far. I want to thank everyone who has donated and say that it brings such a smile to my face when I see ‘new donor’ because this means the word continues to spread.
I know there is a long way to go but it helps to celebrate each step along the way.
For people living in Europe and other places, it would be helpful to put on your website ADCS’s IBAN and Swift bank account numbers.
European banks handle international transfers better than American banks for retail banking customers. For example, with a UK bank you can login into your internet banking and put in the IBAN and the transfer is done.
The secrecy of bank account numbers is not an issue in the EU. Often you’ll see companies put their IBAN numbers on invoices or websites for donations.
In the US, you’ll normally only see this being done by subsidiaries of foreign companies operating in the US. American companies don’t usually disclose their bank account numbers in this manner.
One other thing about money transfer – there are services like Xoom.com and others abroad that can be used by people who want the donation come directly out of their bank account. That’s another reason why publishing the IBAN and Swift number is important.
For example, as long as the country’s banking infrastructure is modern, you can transfer money from the US bank account to UK bank account often in minutes. Xoom’s service standard from the US to the UK is two hours.
Today is Stephen Harper’s birthday. Give the gift of funding this lawsuit.
We are so close!
@Blaze
Even more interestingly the summary trial is scheduled to start on Barack Obama’s birthday–August 4.
Well then let’s give Barack Obama “Change We Can Believe In.”
I just looked at the Sovereignty Thermometer. Are those dollars Fahrenheit or Celsius?
Celsius, of course! This is CANADA, eh?
bubbly. no degrees Kelvin my son.
Starts with absolute zero like our PM.
@Brockers, this is absolutely incredible. Finally, the donor pool is expanding……..thank you to former donors, thank you to new donors…..thank you to the donors who do not know they are donors yet.
Its not just the amount donors are making and some are digging very deep, its the expanding breadth of the donor base.
With regard to why some individuals/organizations might not be supporting? My guess is that at first glance its so very Canada Centric. To be honest, its difficult to make the mental leap how in reality that Canada/ADCS is just one of 150 plus stones in a dam and the good folks at ADCS are working at knocking that single stone from the bottom middle of the dam. Once the “FATCA Dam” or rather damn FATCA, is breached the water will start rushing through.
To be honest, I do not think the USG as of yet fully appreciates the significance of the ADCS lawsuit in a BC Courtroom. I am assume the verdict will be favorable and that will be a shot heard around the world.
Anyways, I do remember a time of exceptionalism in America and I am seeing it again but with the Exceptional American Emigrants.
Hmm, I like to think of it not as a thermometer but rather a sphygmomanometer attached to the arm of the Harper Administration.
@ George, @all
What’s good for Canada is good for US chickens!
just got paid so set aside and gave $150 CAD to nudge the sphygmomanometer to its top….
Ok people, it’s Gwenny the US Tax Fugitive’s birthday today…so let’s close up that gap for my birthday present 🙂 and of course for the sake of Stephen Harper’s birthday yesterday 🙂
We are soooo close!!! Go Brockers!!!
Happy Birthday Gwen!! We are almost there!! It is going to make it for sure!!
Happy birthday, Gwen. Thank your mom and dad for putting you on this earth, although their choice of location could have been better…hehe.
Just a week ago I truly believed we were in trouble. When I saw the $2,800 number this morning I actually started to cry. Unbelievable, just unbelievable. $390,000 raised mostly from those who have little to give but much to lose. I offer a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated. Just simply…….WOW!
Happy Birthday Gwen!!
It is your birthday, and yet, you’ve given countless people that you don’t know an incredible present – you and Ginny gave your fellow Canadians the gift of defending Canadian sovereignty against arrogant US extraterritorial overreach through taking on the burden as a defendant in this legal challenge. And, taking on that burden is also a gift to all those deemed USpersons and families living ordinary lives outside the US who suffer the US’ immoral and unethical practice of extraterritorial ‘life control’ known as CBT and FATCA.
Thank you for your generosity.
I urge all those who haven’t donated to acknowledge the gift that Gwen and Ginny have given us, and the risk they have taken on.
See how far we have come! The court dates in August are coming closer and closer. We are moving forward. Can’t you feel it?
Now is not the time to hesitate or hold back.
Donate NOW to this challenge. Defend Canadian sovereignty, put a spoke in the wheels of the FATCA IGA (without which FATCA can’t work) and US extraterritorial CBT. Let’s keep this rolling!
@George, “..the good folks at ADCS are working at knocking that single stone from the bottom middle of the dam. Once the “FATCA Dam” or rather damn FATCA, is breached the water will start rushing through. …” – very apt!
@Charl, re; “…..When I saw the $2,800 number this morning I actually started to cry….”
Me too. From the very first fee to get the initial legal opinion, to these quarterly deadlines, the feeling when the thermometer hits the top is so very exhilarating.
I believe we will be vindicated. I believe that we will win this. All of us together. There are more of us every day. The word is spreading.
We will not go away. We will not stop plaguing our Canadian government over the FATCA IGA, and we will not stop plaguing the US government over arrogant extraterritorial ‘life control”/ing CBT and FATCA and FBAR.
Onwards and upwards!!
Hear, here, Badger! The only thing that will stop us now is VICTORY!
Happy Birthday Gwen. We’re not there yet, but we’re getting close.
Here is something that should give you a birthday smile. Another Charter win for Arvay at the Supreme Court of Canada today!
