[We now have a NEW POST taking us up to February 1, 2015. This post will be retired from service.]
THE AUTUMN 2014 UPDATE
Dear Donors,
Together, we reached our goal of $100,000 to pay the November 1 legal bill 11 days ahead of schedule!
Thank you Canadian donors from coast to coast and our friends from around the world for your generosity, support and determination — and especially for not being afraid.
The name of our non-profit corporation is the “Alliance for the Defence of Canadian Sovereignty.”
We were very deliberate in including in our name the word “sovereignty”, which forms a cornerstone of our Claims against the Government of Canada.
Canada and dozens of other countries throughout the world gave into a bully because their “leaders” were afraid of harm caused by a trading “partner” — and they gave their sovereignties away.
Help us convince by example the Leaders and Governments of all countries worldwide that they should return their sovereignties back to their Peoples.
Please continue to support our lawsuit.
“Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” (Helen Keller)
— Plaintiffs Ginny and Gwen, and the ADCS-ADSC team
Chers donateurs,
» (Helen Keller)

@bdwright: I was able to access the risk article but then my computer doesn’t remember anything so I can access places that charge money. The gist of the article is: “The announcement the IRS made that it’s treating 2014 and 2015 as a transitional period in terms of enforcement and looking at banks’ ‘good faith’ efforts means we have seen a little bit of a quieting time right now. I don’t know if banks are as aggressively implementing regimes as they were before,” says Tim Lind, Boston-based global head of financial regulatory solutions at Thomson Reuters.” Also following GwEvil’s interview on 1010 talk, there was a guy who called in complaining about all these US taxes he suddenly found out he owed, plus having to pay thousands just for accountant fees. Of course us Brockers know all this but the talk show host seemed lost. Gwen: great interview!
If it gets even ONE person to come to our site, then I am glad I did it. I will be on a CTV (on camera!) interview tomorrow….eeeee!!
Thanks for the link to Gwen’s terrific interview. “Canadians Screwed by Americans”, why didn’t we think of that?
If only filing US taxes involved writing something like “income earned only in Canada” across a 1040! Guaranteed at least two OMG moments today, thanks to Gwen.
Thanks for the info! I guess I already knew what the article mentioned so it´s not ´news´. I think the ´transition period´ is aimed at giving China time to get on board and implement – if that´s what China decides to do. The USG can hardly give a 30% haircut to its largest buyer of debt without major disruption to the financial markets. So far, US bonds and notes continue to be easily sold but watch for Thursday´s auction of $16bn to see if that continues to be the case.
Jerry Agar is also a frequent contributor/guest host on the Sun News Network. Like them or dislike them, it’s another media outlet that hasn’t mentioned us yet, so I hope he can shine some light over there too. Jerry?……
So if Cuba refuses to sign an IGA, will this mean that the US starts withholding 30% from their annual rent payments for Gitmo? So the payments will be reduced from $4,085 a year to $2,859.50 a year?

Nicely done Gwen. I think Jerry might be in trouble as it doesn’t sound like he “surrendered” his green card and his wife may still be American. It doesn’t seem that he has filed a single FBAR and I kind of doubt that sending in a 1040 with “all my income in Canada” written on the back is going to pass muster! Don’t know how many people the show reaches but every bit helps in educating the public. At any rate – thanks for helping to put a public face to this mess.
The lawsuit is mentioned on Wikipedia, yet it looks like the forces of evil got the last word in. This may need a legal minded response:

Under controversy
Not controversy. Under Opposition.
@Anne Frank…yes I thought the same…but I wasn’t going to get bogged down in what he should or shouldn’t be doing….he obviously isn’t doing what he should.
Just got off the line with CBC Victoria…not my best interview I’m afraid…was searching for words more than usual….ugh!!
I just want to say a huge thank you to all who are, and will donate to the ADCS. The statement “congress has spoken” is now overpowered by “The world has spoken” . The world is listening and learning thanks to so many spreading the truth about Fatca. From its inception, to it’s destruction, it is a story you need to see and hear to believe. Again, Thank you everyone!
What a nice shot in the arm, this well-deserved and honest praise for Ginny from her home town:
Two brave women standing up for justice can accomplish much. Stay strong!
Bravo Windsor Star and bravo both Ginny and Gwen!
At least one Canadian newspaper editorial board has its head screwed on straight. So what’s with the so-called “mainstream” papers like the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, et al who maybe have covered the story sporadically for the past months but don’t have the balls or the Canadian spirit that our stalwart plaintiffs and the Windsor Star editorial board have!
Best part of this IMO is it’s Windsor, right across that nefarious border. I’ll never forget when my ex-wife and I drove across the Detroit-Windsor bridge as we immigrated into Canada in the summer of 1969. Driving through the burned-out war zone that was Detroit (still smouldering from the riots the year before when Martin Luther King was murdered) into beautiful, almost-bucolic Windsor. I had tears in my eyes as we entered our new country, which is now my only home and the only country of which I have citizenship and allegiance (in spite of Harper and the other morons in our current government).
God Bless Windsor, the Windsor Star, Ginny and Gwen for their guts, spunk and determination to take on both governments. Bravo.
Just to share a “discrimination victory” please see Sharon Mcivor vs Canada… YES it CAN be done! http://www.aadnc-aandc.gc.ca/eng/1100100032433/1100100032434
Just an excerpt The Supreme Court of British Columbia ruled that section 6 of the Indian Act violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and was therefore without effect insofar as it is discriminatory. The judge refused to grant Parliament time to address the matter, and issued an order apparently calling for the immediate registration of all descendants of women who married non-Indians at any time prior to 1985, no matter how far in the past.
Ginny and Gwen make it to Metro Montreal:

Ginny and Gwen also made it to the Toronto Star and they actually offered a poll there. Betcha can’t guess how I voted. 😉

OMG! I can’t go look!! :O!!
So, it seems that Jerry Agar has just had a Jon McComb style awakening. Now if the two of them would unite !!!!!?????!!!!!
Sorry for the double posting of link/s previously!
I think the Patrick Cain article was the best – well written, and including nuances that others don’t bother to understand.

The Journal Metro one started with a bang, at least according to Google Translate:
TORONTO – Canada has violated the rights of nearly one million Canadians willing to share their financial information with the authorities in the United States, two Ontario women allege in a new lawsuit.

If all 1169 respondents sent $100 tomorrow to ADCS, we would have over the $100,000 needed by November 1st to continue this great lawsuit. Congratulations to the two Plaintiffs and everyone who worked so hard to make this lawsuit happen. Our $200 will be in the mail tomorrow.
anne boleyn,
How simple and effective that could be — we should suggest that in a similar survey.
Thanks for your additional. I’m cutting corners a bit more to make sure I can make at least a monthly donation to our cause.
Thank you everyone. It takes a village to raise a child. Many hands lighten the load.
It takes everyone to pitch in to reach our goal for funding this important litigation: http://www.adcs-adsc.ca/
Donation number eight (8) was posted today with a very nice stamp. 🙂
I would have never imagined that reaching deeper can actually work.
