July 28 UPDATE:
I spoke to Lynne today. She thanks everyone for their good wishes, but still is not feeling well enough to have visitors.
We all want her back with us soon.
July 25 UPDATE:
Many of you know that our warrior Lynne Blaze sustained a serious injury.
Lynne is still in an acute care hospital, will probably be there for awhile, and then will likely move to a rehab setting. I expect that she will return to us in about six weeks or so.
Lynne used many very colorful words to describe her situation in hospital, that I cannot repeat.
The nurses at the hospital refer to Lynne (who I have always described as “Kindly Lynne”) as “feisty.” Lynne herself explains to me that “My inner bitch has now come out!”
So, I send flowers — for Lynne
…or for her nurses…
She is the same Lynne again that we all know, and she knows that we all miss her.
PS: No, No, Lynne — not yet!!!
Stephen
I cannot see Lynne enjoying the hospital scene at all, so it comes as no surprise that she’s really unhappy. She better watch it though, they might just hit her with a tranquilizer dart.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Lynne.
Thank you for the update on our Lynne-Blaze. Feistiness is a good sign. We’ll all be looking forward to her return in September. Meanwhile I’ll bet her brain is hatching up lots of strategies while her body mends.
Heal well wishes, Lynne. It will be a long six weeks — but for your best.
I know you will soon be looking for *US Persons* at your temporary digs.
Take care!!!
βMy inner bitch has now come out!β Hilarious!
I wish you well Lynne and a speedy recovery! It seems like the nurses are wishing for that speedy as well.
I’m so glad to hear her fiesty spirit is prevailing!! Please get well soon, Lynne we miss you!
Stephen:
Thank you for the update on Lynn’s condition. It is good to hear that she is making progress and that her spirits are up.
Sounds like I better get over there and make Lynne start to smile again… Thanks for the update Stephen.
@ NativeCanadian
Please deliver a bunch of very careful hugs from all of us. Lynne-Blaze will love having a visit from her kind and able escort to the finance hearing testimonial.
You got it Em! I’ll see if I can go to see her tomorrow. I just need someone to tell me which care facility she is in.
I hope you heal well, Lynne. Fiesty is good!
Get well soon Lynne! I admire your ‘inner bitch’!
Lynne, sorry to hear about the accident. I wish you a speedy recovery!
Feisty is good!!
Best wishes to you Blaze.
Please give her our (my) thoughts for speedy recovery!
NativeCanadian,
For us all who can’t visit Lynne – thanks for going to visit (when you find out where she is). That will do her a world of good.
You’re our hero again.
Poor Lynne! Confined to hospital π
But, it’s true, she will soon be finding more unsuspecting US persons to recruit into this fight right there where she is.
Speedy recovery Lynne!
All the best for a very speedy recovery, Feisty Lynne. Stay that way. More than one care facility/hospital need Feisty in their face more often than most would like to admit! Or even know or understand!
Dear Blaze: Your presence on IBS seems to be felt more strongly than ever!
May you soon be freed from your prison of hurt; free to use your wonderful feistiness in whatever way you wish; and then be free to raise with us again that cry for justice:
“Surgite!”
(And Stephen, thanks so much for your reports, and for much, much more….)
Fight the good fight where you are Lynne and we’ll continue the fight here. Can’t wait for your return. Get better soon.
@Lynn, We miss you a lot! Please take care of yourself and don’t worry about anything but YOU!!
Lynne,
Sorry to hear that you are still in hospital. I’m sure the standards of care will be improved by your proactive influence!
Lots of medical people have various cross-border ties; I’m sure you’ll open a few eyes and win more supporters. Having been there a few times myself, I found that hospitals can be good places to meet a lot of people βΒ and frank information sharing discussions are common, because everyone is in the same boat one way or another.
Please get well soon!
Yes, Lynne! Don’t look at as a hospital, but as a building full of captive audiences!
That said, I hope you aren’t in so much pain that you can’t make it around the place. Get better soon – we need your inspiration.
Lynne, sorry to hear of your accident. Hoping any praying for a speedy recovery! I particularly sympathise, as I suffered a bicycle accident back in May. They say that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger!! π
Feisty Lynne – best wishes for a good mend, and as others have mentioned – you are certain to find new listeners while getting better. Best regards from me in Scandinavia.
@Lynn/Blaze
I am wishing you a speedy recovery with pain going away asap. When I was sick I found my pain killer to be reading. Everyone has their “remedy”. Some watch their favorite funny movies or tv shows .
Soon you will be back in action, Lynn. In the meantime get better.
