In Solidarity, by Unanimous Declaration of Independence of the Maple Brock Sovereignty Alliance on this July 4, 2014 proclaims:
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
Changes from the original Declaration are in bold. It was stunning how applicable the original words were to the tyranny being applied to us today.
American founders would be outraged at what their country is doing–and proud of what their descendants are doing to fight for our unalienable rights.

The 4th of July is a particularly sad day for many Americans living abroad. The original Declaration of Independence has lost all meaning. It is now just an old piece of paper that nobody really cares about. And pretty much everyone who ever took the time to read it, knows it.
The Maple Brock version however, is spot on for pretty much everyone who has renounced or relinquished US citizenship but are too afraid to speak about it for fear of the Reed Amendment.
Perhaps it is time for American expatriates to start a new country. The good news is that we don’t even need to write a new constitution. We only need to respect the one America already has.
With the amount of renunciations occurring, there will be plenty of ex-Americans ready to join.

It’s so sad what has happened to a country that was celebrated as “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” It has increasingly become a country “of the people in power, by the people in power, and for the people in power and their pet interests.” The people in power have become bullies to anyone they can pick on–like dual citizens. FATCA is actually only one law out of many abusive and/or inane laws and practices.
Right now I could not even bring the my violin bow back to the U.S. where the violin-and-bow had been passed down to me from my grandfather. Why not? Because the tip has a tiny bit of ivory and therefore, is not allowed to cross the U.S. border. Everyone supports today’s instruments being made ivory-free, but why hassle musicians with fine old instruments? The U.S. border guards forced a visiting orchestra from Budapest to use substitutions. Meanwhile, while Obama has been busy championing policies like this, his foreign policy is in shambles. On the human rights front, he’s a clearly abhorrent for one reason: his repeated drone strikes. When I began to rewrite the Declaration, it was mind-blowing how the original over 200 years ago applies to us today.
In the Preamble, it was just a matter of changing men to people or persons, changing King of Great Britain to President, Congress, US Treasury of United States of America, and changing these States to this Planet.
I remember studying the Declaration in both History and English classes. I never thought I would be rewriting it! I hope my high school teachers would be proud of this and appalled at what the U.S. is doing.
It will be on the local CTV news tonight in London. The station picked up information from Twitter and Sandbox that there might be a flag burning at our Fourth of July Bash at my condo. (Native Canadian said it would get media attention!) and wanted to film that.
When I told them we would not be burning the flag, they decided to do the story with the focus on what is happening, readings from the Declaration from a few of the attendees and interviews with Native Canadian and me. The others hid their faces for the story. We hung the flag upside down as a sign of distress and protest.
The story will also be submitted to Richard Madan at CTV National, but I don’t know if it will be picked up. Can someone let me know if they see it? It will also go to CTV affiliates in the US like CNN and ABC in the US, (but I doubt if they will pick it up).
GwEvil used her graphic creativity to make the Declaration a masterpiece.
I am sure America’s founders burned their “fair share” of British flags.

Quite amazing. I actually had never read the whole Declaration of Independence before and wasn’t aware that it is a 3 page document. Good work Blaze and GwEvil. I chose July 1st for my second ADCS cheque but my husband chose July 4th for his. They should arrive next week. I hope others will take inspiration from this re-worked historical document and send a second something along to the fund too.

It is very fitting that the first public release and reading of our Declaration was in a Canadian city named by United Empire Loyalists for the city that was home to the King that caused the Revolutionary War.

A really great interview! It is so ironic that the descendants of America’s founders are forced to start their own revolution against the repressive US empire in a city called London.
Okay its Canada, but the irony of the London illustrates the level of absurdity for what the United States has become and is doing to Americans living outside the homeland.

As Just Me’s tweet from @TheTweetofGod shows how all men were NOT created equal by the founders. Many of the early Presidents owned slaves.
Women, of course, were not even mentioned. Our version says all people are created equal–not all men.

The Founders certainly had their faults which is why Jefferson (author of the Declaration and also a slave owner) believed every generation should experience a revolution. Power inevitably corrupts and therefore a top to bottom housecleaning is needed every 20 years or so. America is way overdue.
