Any way y’all can manage to *keep* her up there? Just asking . . .
I couldn’t see the ‘Amazing’. At least she didn’t say I wasn’t paying my fair share.
Please don’t vote for this person if you live abroad and want America to be just like your home country. Some of us have to live here.
She certainly is doing some of the right things to keep in the public eye; writing a book and doing a book tour suggests to me she has already made the decision to do just that.
I never know what to make of Hillary. To hear her talk about the Bin Laden raid and the issues in the Middle East, I am reminded of what it felt like as a teenager, to inherently understand the positions/actions taken by the government ( indoctrinated via exceptionalism) but being unsettled by the mess that gets created and the lack of attention to that aspect. The root of dissent I suppose.
I know many people dislike her intensely but as a woman, I admire her ability to manage in the hostile atmosphere she inhabits, it’s still a man’s world where she operates. She is intelligent and steadfast when it comes to the global problems of women and education etc. Like her or not, she is a much-needed role model on a general basis.
@nobledreamer,
Are you sure women need role models? I think it’s pretty clear that women are kicking men’s butts right now. They are the ones getting educated and do better. They are the ones that did well in the recession as men got wiped out.
Assume they do need role models, why would you ever pick a politician?
@ Jim Jatras
She should be arrested in Toronto for war crimes. Splitting-The-Sky tried a citizen’s arrest with Bush Jr. in Calgary once but sadly it failed. Sorry, I won’t watch — it sickens me to see her face.
BTW, have you any comments about Jim Bopp’s legal action against FATCA?
I’m in Toronto right now on business. Newscasts this morning announced that Hillary was speaking at Chapters’ Indigo Bookstore today. Shucks! I was set to pay this place a visir, but now she’s ruined my day trip. I’m with Em. This woman is nothing but trouble and I’m insulted that so many, especially young women, hold up this unseemly political specimen as a role model. She’s a power-hungry politician who serves her interests first and foremost, not a paragon of any sort. Apparently, despite rain, many Canadians were lined up to see her, some even overnight. There seems to be far more dissatisfaction and cynicism in the US. On another front, the Canadian Minister of Finance was also in the news this morning noting that Canada will be able to balance its budget this year. In the meantime, US Treasury has pulled in a record $1.9 trillón in taxes while still managing to run a $465 billion deficit. You don’t think they’re casting an eye at Canada’s balanced budget and licking their chopo thinking, “Um, our dearest neighbor to the North is doing so well, we’re so glad they don’t mind we’ll be helping ourselves to their coffers!” (Because Bill C-31 is akin to inviting in the vampire at the door!) Hillary is part of the same political-industrial complex and she will wield the power of Treasury similarly.
I just got tuned up on the “Untold Story of Hillary Clinton.”
Who is she? Let the evidence speak for itself!
Why haven’t we seen press releases or request for donations regarding Jim Bopp’s legal action?
Are Republicans Overseas waiting till July 1st to publicly advertise the suit and ask for donations?
Weird that they’re not making more noise over it. We’ve only seen a couple articles stating the results of Jim Bopp’s legal opinion.
They need to make more noise!
I don’t understand either… I thought the goal of the lawsuit was to stop it prior to July 1… what are they waiting for… unless this got pushed after the loud announcement… as stated before… trust no politician… we got to watch out for ourselves
@no one The effort is being done quietly at the moment and will go public soon. Neither Republicans Overseas nor Republicans abroad are of a fraction of the size of DA. It is progressing and also hoping for finding someone with significant backing to make it easier.
@Neill,
I wasn’t saying she was perfect or selfless or anything like that. As far as role models go, it seems to me that people will choose someone who embodies what they want to be like so Hillary would only appeal to those who do what she does. I don’t think its a universal model for all. I wouldn’t hold her up as someone I would want to be like but I still admire some of her qualities. Nobody is perfect.
I may not know enough about her to understand where everyone is coming from; I really have not been particularly political, well informed or interested about such things until the expat issue started. I was involved in totally unrelated things…
I’m just so glad I’m no longer a USP and don’t have to decide who to vote for. After Obama, I don’t think I could ever trust an American candidate again.

I’d love to ask Hill to explain the Clinton blood trail.
