NDs upping the pressure.
If they hear from enough Canadians, Conservatives will soon be having their OMG moment.
They’re hearing it from their constituents, and they’re not thrilled.
Hats off to John Rafferty who is taking a stand for Canadians.
Very nice to see the new MP’s finding out about Fatca. Once they take the time to see it for what it will do to innocent Canadians, they too, will feel outrage. Hats off to Mr. Rafferty for his voice and support for Canadians!!!
Fabulous! Thank you, John Rafferty!
We’ve all wanted to “take this to the streets” for a very long time. With Murray Rankin’s appearance for an entire day at the CBT/RBT seminar on May 2 and the supportive statements by many opposition MPs such as Mr. Rafferty, it looks like this issue is finally being brought into the light of day. Let the spotlight shine mightily!

The Canadian government’s capitulation was so disappointing to me that I half expect our anti-FATCA IGA MP’s to start back-pedalling right about now!
bubblebustn,
The sooner the Conservative block wakes up to their lack leadership in their responsibility to protect ALL Canadians (not condone US law in Canada), the less fools they will seem.
Let them back-pedal away. Or, at least, speak their mind on what they think is moral and just, instead of toeing the party line.
