I would like to post an article in French for all to read from one of the Swiss sponsors of the anti-FATCA referendum in Switzerland: [I do not represent any political party here] http://www.ligue-vaudoise.ch/index.php?nation_id=2750

My opinion is that: Although the number of required signatures was not met to oppose FATCA in “optional” referendum, the FATCA treaty and the application law are invalid and unenforceable.
See the Swiss Federal Constitution:
Art. 2 But
….
Read a very long and well written bill of rights.
a.
les révisions de la Constitution;
b.
a.
And for those that do not speak French? (But do speak other languages. 🙂 )
I did a Google translate and wow…… But what can the people actually do knowing their laws of their own country were broken? Overthrow their government?
Jefferson, I still have hope that Switzerland will be one of those countries that refuses to give in to the U.S.

Perhaps someone would like to post this….I don’t know how to do it.

I thought it was quite funny and wanted to share.
I’ve commented on it here, Ann: http://isaacbrocksociety.ca/2014/04/02/what-should-jake-do/comment-page-3/#comment-1399549. What a contrast this would be with what is happening to us, those who left the homeland. It is all bizarre.
@IRSCompliantforever
Sounds like a plea for others to come to the front and aid in the cause. If Switzerland was to see any other country- stronger and brave- come forward to oppose FATCA- then they would also be able to do so. Meaning: we can’t do this alone.
