Where can we get a chief counsel like the one the Chamber of Commerce has, to represent our interests and produce a shiny report to distribute? I’d like some ‘clarity’ too – starting with that outstanding FOI to the IRS.
Is there some kind of contest going on in Congress to see who can bring in the most money to US coffers? They’re showing their desperation, and like a drowning swimmer will take down anyone else in their effort to survive, all the while of course portraying they’re taking the moral high ground. This sounds like the “frivolous” law suite brought against the Royal Bank by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Not just a contest in Congress to see who can bring in the lost money – is there a contest to see who can do the most damage to US companies trying to drum up business for American exports? And did you hear Lanny Breuer saying, “We’ve been bringing cases against both American companies AND FOREIGN COMPANIES that have been BRIBING FOREIGN OFFICIALS”! The DOJ doesn’t have enough to do at home?
In many countries, if you do not bribe, you get the crap beaten out of you if you are lucky enough to live. I think Washington is just looking for another profit center. Rather than to let us be and let us increase trade, they want a quick buck. Idiots.
