As those of you who have seen The War of 2012 know, The Movie ends with signing of a New Declaration of Independence in front of the American Embassy in Ottawa on  July 4, 2012.

Jefferson Thomas suggested we try writing our own Declaration.  I reviewed the original American Declaration and concluded American forefathers provided an excellent framework for us today.  http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/ 

So, I adopted the original for our purposes.  Please consider this a draft. Comments and debate are welcome.  Revisions from the original are in caps.    

2012 Declaration of Independence:

The unanimous Declaration of the INTERNATIONAL ISAAC BROCK SOCIETY

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all PEOPLE are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, SECURITY and the pursuit of Happiness  AND PROPERTY — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among PEOPLE, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these PERSONS and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present PRESIDENT, CONGRESS AND IRS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over THIS PLANET.   To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

THEY HAVE refused THEIR Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

THEY HAVE forbidden THEIR REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS to AMEND  laws of immediate and pressing importance to PEOPLE THEY HAVE DECLARED TO BE US PERSONS

THEY HAVE REFUSED to CHANGE THAT WHICH RESTRICT FREE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN CITIZENSHIP, TO BE FREE OF CITIZENSHIP BASED TAXATION FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, (WHERE THEY NO LONGER RESIDE OR RECEIVE INCOME) AND TO ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO PAY TAXES ONLY TO THEIR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE AS IS THE WILL AND LAW OF ALL OTHER FREE AND DEMOCRATIC NATIONS.

THEY HAVE ARBITRARILY ATTEMPTED TO REINSTATE US CITIZENSHIP ON PERSONS WHO LONG AGO RENOUNCED SUCH AFFILIATION AND WHO DECLARED TRUE AND BINDING ALLEGIANCE TO ANOTHER SOVEREIGN NATION WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OR INTENT OF SAID PERSONS.

THEY HAVE refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large NUMBERS of AMERICAN people ABROAD, DEMANDING INSTEAD those people would relinquish THEIR PRIVACY AND FORFEIT IMMENSE SUMS OF MONEY TO THE UNITED STATES.

THEY HAVE called together legislative bodies IN WASHINGTON D.C., at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from LOGIC AND COMMON SENSE for the sole purpose of fatiguing THE PEOPLE into compliance with THEIR DRACONIAN  measures.ASS

THEY HAVE, THROUGH THEIR EMBASSIES AND CONSULATES, ESTABLISHED PROCEDURES, LOCATIONS AND COSTS WHICH MAKE RELINQUISHING OR RENOUNCING AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP ONEROUS AND ARDUOUS,  WITH THE FULL INTENT TO DETER SUCH ACTS.

THEY  HAVE IGNORED THEIR OWN PEOPLE WHO COULD BE THEIR  BEST AMBASSADORS INTERNATIONALLY repeatedly, for opposing with CONSISTENT RESISTANCE THEIR invasions on the rights of the people.

THEY HAVE for a long time TREATED “US PERSONS” WITH SUCH DISDAIN AND ARROGANCE  to cause THEM and others to be ALIENATED AND OUTRAGED AT SUCH TREATMENT, causing THESE PERSONS remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion OF THE UNITED STATED INTO THEIR PRIVATE FINANCIAL MATTERS AND THOSE OF THEIR FAMILIES.

THEY HAVE endeavoured to prevent the population of OTHER INDEPENDENT NATIONS, for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of CITIZENS IN THEIR NEW COUNTRIES, refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of POWERS.

THEY HAVE obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing TO RECOGNIZE THE SELF-DETERMINATION RIGHTS AND LAWS OF OTHER INDEPENDENT NATIONS.

THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE THE WORLD SUBJECT TO THEIR Will alone.

THEY HAVE erected a multitude of New IRS Offices, and sent hither swarms of IRS Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

THEY HAVE kept among us, in times of peace, Standing IRS Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

THEY HAVE affected to render the IRS independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

THEY HAVE combined TOGETHER WITH IRS to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our SOVEREIGN NATIONS’ constitutionS, and unacknowledged by our NATIONS’ laws; giving THEIR Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For quartering large bodies of IRS SPIES THROUGH OUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS among us:

For protecting IRS THROUGH MOCK JUSTICE from punishment for any CRIME  which they should commit on the Inhabitants of OUR DOMINIONS.

FOR SUBJECTING US TO BEING WRONGLY AND PUBLICLY ACCUSED OF BEING TAX CHEATS AND TAX EVADERS  :

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For ATTEMPTING TO abolish the CONSTITUTIONAL, HUMAN RIGTS AND PRIVACY LAWS in neighbouring FREE AND DEMOCRATIC NATIONS,  establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging UNITED STATES Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into THESE SOVEREIGN AND INDEPENENT NATIONS.

For taking away OUR CONSTITUTION, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments AND OUR BANKING.:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

THEY HAVE abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of THEIR Protection and waging War against us.

THEY HAVE plundered our BANK ACCOUNTS, ravaged our SOULS, burnt THEIR BRIDGES and destroyed the lives of our people.

THEY AT THIS time are transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of  THEFT, ROBBERY,  desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

THEY HAVE constrained our BANKS, taken Captive IN OUR COUNTRIES, to bear INFORMATION AND MONEY TO THE IRS AND FOR OUR BANKS to become the executioners of their CUSTOMERS and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

THEY HAVE excited INTERNATIONAL insurrections amongst us, and HAVE  endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless IRS Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, ARE unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our AMERICAN brethren AND THEIR MEDIA. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of HUMANITY, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY,  THROUGH THE ISAAC BROCK SOCIETY,  Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these NATIONS, solemnly publish and declare, That these united PERSONS are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent PEOPLE,  that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and that all political connection between them and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent PEOPLE, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, MAINTAIN PRIVACY, WITHHOLD MONEY FROM THE UNITED STATES  and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent PERSONS of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
