[We now have a NEW POST taking us up to February 1, 2015. This post will be retired from service.]
THE AUTUMN 2014 UPDATE
Dear Donors,
Together, we reached our goal of $100,000 to pay the November 1 legal bill 11 days ahead of schedule!
Thank you Canadian donors from coast to coast and our friends from around the world for your generosity, support and determination — and especially for not being afraid.
The name of our non-profit corporation is the “Alliance for the Defence of Canadian Sovereignty.”
We were very deliberate in including in our name the word “sovereignty”, which forms a cornerstone of our Claims against the Government of Canada.
Canada and dozens of other countries throughout the world gave into a bully because their “leaders” were afraid of harm caused by a trading “partner” — and they gave their sovereignties away.
Help us convince by example the Leaders and Governments of all countries worldwide that they should return their sovereignties back to their Peoples.
Please continue to support our lawsuit.

Chers donateurs,
» (Helen Keller)

This thread should probably be made the top on at least until the first 250K is reached.
@noone – we have seo in the site. We just have to wait until Google bots find us in their regular sweeps. We won’t have a presence until that time.
As for the mobile version that Deckard (briefly) mentioned…I have stopped trying to develop it because the platform is too buggy at the moment. Please click on the failsafe link that I have provided for people on mobile and tablet to see the video for now.
I think this is going to need some people with much deeper pockets than Brockers and Sandboxers have in order to meet the fund’s goals. I don’t know anyone with such pockets but if anyone else does PLEASE contact them to see if they would be willing to help out. There are some people who can write cheques the size of which would wipe most of us out … and do it without so much as the slightest tremor in their hand. Who are they, where are they and what are our chances of finding them, I wonder?
@Em: Steve Bulmer just dropped $2 billion for a basketball team, so maybe there’s hope.
@ Deckard1138
Wish Bulmer would dribble a million into ADCS but he’d have to have a personal reason to do that I reckon. BTW, you and Lynne did great work on the FINA committee video. Too bad you weren’t allowed to record the CBT vs RBT debate because now that I see the trend at ACA to welcome the compliance condors and deflect all defiance I don’t think we’ll ever get to see their video.
@Em,
You are right that Brockers and Sandboxers cannot be enough, but they (we) and the people they contact may be enough to find the monies to begin the litigation.
Lynne and I are in ongoing contact with some donors who can write the really big cheques. This legal challenge will not happen without their support. We ask for the help of Brockers to find these people. You might know someone who knows someone.
@Noone, I agree. We need high exposure on the Brock and Sandbox sites to bring in donations. I keep feeling that this is our one and last chance ever to make this right, and we all seem to be pretty much alone right now.
Wait until the rich ones find out how much they will lose to the USA thieves, then, you’ll see how much they have to donate.
This newest reiteration from Stack is the usual disingenuous attempt to put lipstick and mascara on the FATCA pig:
“….. Robert Stack, deputy assistant Treasury secretary for international tax affairs, said, “The strong international support for FATCA is clear, and this success will help us in our goal of stopping tax evasion and narrowing the tax gap.”” http://www.accountingweb.com/article/reports-77000-banks-are-complying-us-fatca/223435
OINK:
Translation, he means; international fear of being shut out of US financial markets and being unjustly hit with unwarranted extortionate penalties and economic sanctions in the shape of 30% withholding has caused countries with traitors at the helm and tiny gonads to give in to US blackmail and turn over their citizens, residents, legal local savings and assets and surrender their autonomy, sovereignty and system of local laws and civil rights because of US might and search for a free lunch forever and ever.
See:
‘Reports: 77,000 Banks Are Complying with US on FATCA’
by Jason Bramwell on Jun 2 2014
AND NOTE THAT THE IGAs are still NOT proven to be constitutional in the US, nor has Obama and Co. gotten the authority to make US FIs comply. And residency and not citizenship is still the global standard.
Everyone knows that this is because of sheer US might, and NOT because it is right (or righteous).
@ Toronto area Brockers
Marilyn Denis, host of “The Marilyn Denis Show” and Chum Radio Morning Show, might be a possible contact.
I’m not certain of her citizenship, she was born in Edmonton and raised in the US.

Many thanks to all of those who have worked so hard to make this happen.
@Sid
Marilyn Denis might very well be in the IRS’s crosshairs. Maybe you should introduce her this battle for Canada’s sovereignty!
Gwen; can we also add the wonderful “Have the US and Canada merge” article also on tap on the website to incite some anger. That type of druck shouldn’t go unpunished.

My first donation is in. I forgot my paypal password but I have three passwords and the second one worked.
Just a thought, but with the future of Canada in mind, couldn’t the lawyers go down in price? Couldn’t they donate some of their time at lower cost for something so precious as Canadian sovereignty?
@Animal – I am afraid that content of the website is not up to me. I am the designer and webmaster but not the content administrator.
@The_Animal
Right! Who wouldn’t want to partner up with somebody who is bankrupt!
@Polly
The attorney may have lowered his price but his office still needs to pay for the expenses. There will be court fees & such. People in his office may throw in some pro bono time but they still have to pay for the research materials that will be needed. Commercial databases are very expensive…. search time can run from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars for each search… firms can not do that for free. Probably get law students to do some of the research for free but the lawyer still needs to review all the materials… his time is expensive even at a discount.
I find it ironic that we have to raise additional funds to defend against a gov’t that is using our funds…
How about some radio coverage. What about that magnificent guy from Vancouver? The one who did a farce on Obama being taxed by Kenia? How about some more media coverage? (Ì`ve sent the info on to just about everybody I know who could be interested, and a few who might not.)
What we need for our family here and likely others is… very bright T-shirts with “Second Class Canadian” written on them. I would like to donate to this as well. We need to find a custom T-shirt manufacturer who can provide this. I will wear this all summer long when I am out in the public. My family wants them as well.
We need help from everyone to make this happen. Stephen and I will continue to do outreach here and elsewhere.
I want to make an appeal to those many people who may not be active Brockers or Sandboxers, but who follow the sites regularly or occasionally.
At Sandbox, we know from our statistics we have many more people following us but who never post. We don’t know who you are but Outraged Canadian and I hope we have been able to help you in some small or big way.
With 10 million hits at Brock, I’m certain the number here is even greater.
We need your help now. The best way you can help us to donate to the legal challenge fund.
Lynne Swanson
My thanks to everyone for all of your hard work and dedication in getting the Charter Challenge rolling. Recently, I contacted my union rep to ask if my union had a role in advocating for the repeal of FATCA legislation. I explained how this legislation affected me personally, but that I was not alone. There are many of us who work for the largest employer in Alberta who are considered U.S. persons and are affected by FATCA. The response I received from my union president was, “yes, the union does have a role in supporting its members with regard to this legislation”. She was going to forward the information I had sent her on to Larry Brown, Nation Union of Public & General Employees’ Secretary Treasurer. Unions have strong political pull. If you are a union member, I suggest contacting your representative regarding FATCA.
@ACDS Board of Directors
One way to spread the message is by way of what I will call, for lack of better term, a chain letter.
The Board might draft a model letter, which could sent by readers of this blog to their respective contacts. For myself, that will include first and foremost persons I know who are at direct risk, but also pur laine* Canadians who I think will be sympathetic. I would add a few words of my own as an intro, and ask recipients to forward the message to anyone they know who might be interested. Starting with a few hundred readers of IBS, this could quickly reach hundreds of thousands of people outside the IBS circle.
A model letter would save work and also promote a uniform message. No one would be obliged to use it, and no one is prevented sending their own, personal message.
Thank you, and courage!
*”pur laine” is French for “pure wool”, a term that has been used in Quebec to distinguish those with deep, French-Canadian roots from more recent immigrants and their descendants. Harper’s treatment of Canadians with US ties legitimises such vocabulary.
@Blaze,
I just submitted a donation for $1,000 through paypall, and am keeping my fingers crossed, that lots more will soon be rolling in!
