[We now have a NEW POST taking us up to February 1, 2015. This post will be retired from service.]
THE AUTUMN 2014 UPDATE
Dear Donors,
Together, we reached our goal of $100,000 to pay the November 1 legal bill 11 days ahead of schedule!
Thank you Canadian donors from coast to coast and our friends from around the world for your generosity, support and determination — and especially for not being afraid.
The name of our non-profit corporation is the “Alliance for the Defence of Canadian Sovereignty.”
We were very deliberate in including in our name the word “sovereignty”, which forms a cornerstone of our Claims against the Government of Canada.
Canada and dozens of other countries throughout the world gave into a bully because their “leaders” were afraid of harm caused by a trading “partner” — and they gave their sovereignties away.
Help us convince by example the Leaders and Governments of all countries worldwide that they should return their sovereignties back to their Peoples.
Please continue to support our lawsuit.

Chers donateurs,
» (Helen Keller)

I will add a third point to my comments on Maher’s article:
Perhaps the Council of Canadians might be interested in joining us in the Charter challenge. (I would not bother with the student organisation.)
@Nervous and @Northern,
Please keep your good suggestions coming.
Thank you.
The counter at the bottom of this page will soon click over to the 10 million mark and the number of views of the ADCS video will likely reach 1000 today. Now I have to admit that with the comments problem at Brock lately I have had to reload so many times that I feel like I’m really skewing that counter number quite badly. I don’t know how to interpret the 1000 video views so I just have to hope it bodes well for donations to ADCS. My CPP/OAS cheque will arrive next week so “twig #2” will shortly thereafter be making its way to the fund. Courage everyone! Keep donating if you can.
@Em
My goodness, your generosity is deeply appreciated. Please appease my worries that you are going without in order to help. I can’t stand to picture that.
@ Tricia
We’re not wanting for anything and our needs are well met. (They aren’t that much since we live below low key and like it that way.) It never was our plan to rely on any government cheque. Of course, the IRS may try to change that in the future but that’s the future. All’s well for now. 🙂
Regarding the Council of Canadians, I did speak to a member of the National Board (now retired) about opposing FATCA. I was told that the issue was considered some time ago, but the Council decided not to take it on.
It may be worthwhile to ask them to reconsider.
What about Eddie Greenspan:

@Hazy
Interesting comment.
Perhaps your chat was before the NDP came out so strongly against the IGA. Council of Canadians is really sensitive to issues of sovereignty I think.
@NorthernShrike
As far as I could tell the Council of Canadians discussed this in the Fall of 2012.The Board member did not know the exact date and never got back to me when I requested more information.
Folks, this site is a mess. The counters are not working properly and it is difficult to navigate. Please change this format to numbered pages in each post section rather than “older and newer posts”. Sorry, but some of the hard earned money that we donated should be spent on a professional bug free site because this site is part of the challenge because it helps raise money. Could someone out there who knows me email me to confirm that his comment was posted? THX
Calgary: I tried your suggestion but, for me, there was no audio. Perhaps there is something amiss with my computer. I’m never surprised by that state of affairs! Also, thank you for headlining your post.
I posted this at MS but in light of CBE’s comment I’m putting it here at IBS too:
I can deal with site problems (I eventually found some tedious but doable workarounds at Brock) so I don’t want a penny diverted in that direction. I keep my focus on the fund. I keep a paper copy of the fund’s address handy, just in case the internet fails. Site maintenance is beyond my ken but my gratitude for Brock and Maple Sandbox site maintenance volunteers is boundless. Thank you all.
I’ll just add that everyone can do as I have done in the past and send something to Petros to help cover his costs of site maintenance. (He seems reluctant to ask.) Just e-mail him at [email surpressed, see contributions page to send message] and he’ll give you a mailing address. I would worry if too much tinkering was attempted because that can sometimes create different problems. Also, I should mention that the ADCS site is volunteer run and I’m very grateful for the efforts of its webmaster and those who provided the content.
If there’s a different e-mail address you’d prefer, @Petros, please correct my comment.
I received enough funds from 3CF that I am directing anyone wishing to donate to Isaac Brock to ADCS until further notice. Thanks Em for your support in the past.

Now that we have “second class Canadians” by law, I will get the first run of “second class Canadian” T-Shirts done. I will work on an avenue to sell them to support our challenge as well….The idea of a local “brain power” meeting here in London is getting closer to becoming a reality. I also am working on other means of fund raising for the ADCS Challenge….. stay tuned!
@ NativeCanadian
Way to go, good luck and thank you.

Here is another article on second-class citizenship, relating to Canada’s bill C-24.

Thanks for posting this article, NorthernShrike.
The one commenter, Kyle Kipp of Ottawa, ON says:
No, Mr. Kipp; it is a questions that should be asked! And, Mr. Kipp, look at omnibus Bill C-31, just passed and not reported on that allows US law to take precedence over Canadian law, rights and freedoms.
Over 400 pages worth of really good reasons to give to the ADCS legal challenge fund right away:
Open the PDFs and just skim them to see how many there are. Read them to see the well reasoned arguments that were ignored by the Finance Department and the Government of Canada, and the Harper Conservatives:

And,
Here are 244 more pages worth of reasons;

If Brockers don’t show up on July 1st to heckle the Revenue Minister who is in the biggest Canada Day parade in the whole country, the Steveston Salmon Fest, I’m going to drop my activities to help this cause. There is no better opportunity ever presented to make headlines. I’m FED up with being ignored and having great ideas shot down.
I’m a little delayed to the dance, but I just made my first contribution. Go team go!

YAY! Every bit counts, gang! Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! And thank you all for ongoing donations whenever possible 🙂 we will prevail!
