FATCA exposed on Independent Nation: John Richardson, Tricia Moon and Peter Dunn discuss the loss of democracy and sovereignty in Canada

The link to our discussion is now available If you missed the live broadcast of this discussion live, you can now watch it at your leisure.

Canada ceases to be an independent nation as of Canada Day 2014 when FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) comes into effect. Stephen Harper’s government has sold out Canada yet again and is now providing America’s IRS with personal banking information of Americans and Canadians born in the USA. Check out www.stopfatca.ca to find out what you can do about it and regain your sovereignty!

  1. One step at at time. And, you’re stepping up the pace. Thanks!!!

Is this what once “sovereign” Canada now condones, the Harper government passing the implementation of U.S. FATCA law in Canada (omnibus Bill C-31) to override the rights for a segment of Canadians, guaranteed in the
Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms?

[ 15.(1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.]

TD BANK FOR REGULAR PERSONS AND FOR US PERSONS

…a harkening of the days of blatant discrimination —

separate entrances for men and women in Canadian drinking establishments and

once accepted racial discrimination of America’s black ‘African American’ people.

Society rightly condemns discrimination by sex or the colour of one’s skin — and now we have our Canadian government…
Discrimination of a segment of Canadians by NATIONAL ORIGIN!

  2. The question is: can I be sued for handing out this as a flyer tomorrow at my community’s Calgary Stampede Pancake Breakfast?

GwEvil says — for what, telling the truth?

What the heck — that would make good headline anyway:

“US Person Canadian 70 Year-Old Taxpayer Sued for Declaring ‘Discrimination by National Origin’ from her Government and her Canadian Bank”.

  3. @Calgary
Hopefully they will be willing to volunteer a few dollars to the Charter Challenge. I keep saying: if everybody got involved then we would only need maybe 10$ per person because it would add up.

  4. Again, as in 1776 we in the U.S. find ourselves with taxation without representation. 34% of us work in jobs and run businesses that individuals are willing to pay for. All the rest are paid with tax money or borrowed money. 56 men signed the declaration of Independence and they prevailed, even if many of them lost everything including some who lost their lives.
Do we have even 56 who will step up and say No, Hell No, I won’t take it. Where is a General to emulate George Washington? Where is a Statesman to emulate Jefferson? I am waiting.
