From FATCA to GATCA – Alex Newman hits another home run

Another great article by Alex Newman at The New American:

Globalists Exploit New U.S. Tax Law for World Taxation Regime

Mr. Newman masterfully eviscerates the OECD, the G-20 and other useful idiots of the FATCA club.

  1. “Unsurprisingly, also pushing the [FATCA] scheme is Socialist International, the premier alliance of socialist and communist political parties around the world. The powerful coalition, which met last year in South Africa, called for global taxes, a planetary currency, and a global tax information-sharing regime in one of its most recent resolutions.”

This is why socialism and fascism are so dangerous — they know no boundaries. Productive individuals become slaves to the state no matter where they live or work.

The G20 central planners are licking their chops about the prospect of using FATCA/GATCA to take control of the world’s economy with the USSA leading the way.

  2. ““What we are doing is to develop a single standard that will be compatible with national and regional systems — there will be only one way of collecting and exchanging information,” continued Saint-Amans. “That will cost something, but it is the price to pay to be free from suspicion of complicity in fiscal fraud.” “……..

Huh? How will a ‘single standard’ AND ‘one way’ possibly be compatible with the US system of declaring ALL those MILLIONS abroad deemed ‘US taxable persons’ regardless of their actual NON-US permanent tax residence, non-US citizenship, etc., where other countries do not?

And, the US will NEVER allow the rest of the world to impose on it restrictions or a global tax system on US corporations, banks, and individuals. It had no intention of making FATCA anything other than unilaterally imposed on the rest of the world with NO reciprocity. Even now, true and equivalent reciprocity is not only not possible for the US IRS and Treasury to provide – as it is not authorized by the FATCA legislation, and not desired by the US, its banks, and Congress.

Is this guy delusional or merely disingenuous?

  3. He didn’t mince words with his characterizations, did he? LOL

That was a fun read. Now, when will that domestic DATCA be put into place? 2014, I guess…..

  4. Well, it should be entertaining when the unstoppable force of GATCA collides with the immovable object of US domestic tax havens! Gets me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

“If you don’t have any assets or money outside of the US, FATCA is coming into effect in July, 2014 and will all but make it nearly impossible to expatriate your assets.”

They’re creating a fear of capital controls, and perhaps taking advantage of the confusion around FATCA.

  6. GATCA is born:

OECD proposes data exchange norm in tax evasion crackdown:
    http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/afp/140213/oecd-proposes-data-exchange-norm-tax-evasion-crackdown-0

Here is the most relevant information:
“The OECD’s top official for financial issues, Pascal Saint-Amans, said the OECD’s proposed standard is in effect a multilateral version of the US FATCA, or Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.
One major difference, however, is that the OECD standard will be based on a residency test rather than nationality, according to OECD officials.
It will cover not only bank deposits, but interest paid and capital gains.
It will also require reporting of the ultimate beneficiary, which should hinder the use of trusts and shell companies to evade tax liabilities.
Saint-Amans acknowledged, however, that gold and other precious metals will escape the system as banks aren’t forced to open their vaults and safe deposit boxes, and this could pose a problem.”

The US needs to scrap FATCA and adopt the OECD system. As long as FATCA lives, with the withholding threats, discrimination of Americans will continue, even with a global OECD GACTA.

  7. and, look at this comment in a FATCA submission to the Select Committee hearing 2 days ago from NZ AMP…

“We submit that as it does not seem to be feasible under the wording of the draft IGA to separate “review, identify and report”, Financial Institutions must be allowed to identify and review ALL accounts. We further submit that they should be allowed – for consistency with the new global standard for automatic exchange of information (my note: GATCA) – to report on ALL accounts, regardless of balance.

This is going to get ugly ……

  8. @just me … “this is going to get ugly.”… agree agree agree…. see caracalla “as long as we have this [pointing to his sword]… we shall not[be poor]”……………… wiaiting and watching for [i am] the establishment of other global reserve currency……………….

It may not be desired by the US taxpayer, Us Banks and Congress but it IS desired by the Obama Administration, who are working diligently for this roll out.
FATCA targeting “U.S. Persons” in Canada and abroad is simply putting the toe in the water. The REAL evil is GATCA. Truly evil. and is not Canada part of the G-20?
Meaning our politicians forming our government are complicit in this? Did I not see some reference to OECD in the IGA Canada just signed?
We are being HAD. First victims are U.S.Persons abroad and the very next ones are the entire planet. This is THEFT on a global scale and they intend to implement this in September of 2014!
