How about the Canadian Dept of Finance – as commentary on the FATCA IGA negotiations?
This video should be made to stand within 18″ from the curb. It is inflammatory.
How about a Canadian version, with a banker explaining to a Canadian “grannie” how “comfortable” they intend to make our FATCA compliance experience as applied to the legal local Canadian-made and Canadian sited assets of their fellow citizens and taxpayers? And maybe taking a question from a Canadian child as to why the IRS is demanding their RESP?
I love this and loaded it on my FB.
BTW:
I just found out my car insurance company was bought out by an American company…I am shopping now for a Canadian owned company. I will boycott America as much as I can.

Not quite as inflammatory as FATCA is but, you know FATCA gets a pass because if a bully does it such as the U.S. then well, we invite speakers from the United States to help us soothe and comfort those affected into still trusting us while we sell them out to cover our own posterior. That’s not inflammatory? How about this “Banks got bailed out, we got sold out.” That’s the way I feel about an IGA. Name calling is so inappropriate though not considered “inflammatory” depending upon who does it I suppose.

I like to check out the CBA once in awhile. It seems they have a new addition to what qualifies as a US Person:
“U.S. corporations, estates and trusts are also considered U.S. persons.”

Hey all! The interview/information meeting went very well. I kept hearing “they can’t do that” and I had to reply…. yes they can if Harper signs a deal. It is clear that many in the Native community will be effected by this and I am hoping they will get some information posted and even do an article on it to be distributed. I printed off a lot from the Issac Brock website as reference material and explained everything. I let him know I was where he is now 4 months ago…. simply dumbfounded and now worried about this taking money from a family who’s newest vehicle is a 2003 Saturn!! I’ll keep you all posted…..

Thanks, northernstar. Especially when those history lessons are told correctly and put to music by CANADIANS! I think that every hockey game played in Canada should show that video on its Jumbotrons before each game – right after the national anthems!
