Someone Who Deserves a Big Hit

7. The United States is the World’s Greatest Force for Good

Of all the shocking things you can say around the [Canadian] dinner table, this is the most shocking one. After all, America-bashing is part of our national identity.

Thus ends — and begins — Margaret Wente’s cutesy little list of seven deconstructions of what all Canadians seem likely (to her) to think.

Wente must no longer feel like she could possibly be on the hit list?

Please, Uncle, sock it to her!

  1. *The following paragraph caught my attention:

And yet, right now, hundreds of millions of people in India and China
and other desperately poor parts of the world are being liberated from
    millennia of suffering and serfdom.

It caught my attention because the following got printed in Chinese news today:

Tax bills prompt Chinese to ditch US passports

    Does the liberation from
millennia of suffering and serfdom include ditching US passports?  This could suggest so.

  2. Typical American who believes that “America can do no wrong”.  Should have stayed in Illinois.

Whines about FBARs and FATCA; then spits at the nation who took her in… I smell a…

She should go back to Chicago.

  3. Wente can’t even break out of her US brainwashing let alone her Canadian one.  Those 7 slides define only the PC version of the Canadian PC straightjacket.  The entire bit about “liberating the serfs” is just part of Obama’s marxist anti-colonialist “global wealth redistribution” agenda that is right in step with Canada’s Multiculturalists.   And of course she doesn’t mention any of the other real PC taboos like Black crime, anti-white racism and descrimination or the LGBT agenda.

On Friday’s Peter Schiff Podcast Peter does does an interview of Dineesh D’Souza (Obama’s America) and a great analysis of the vice-presidential debates.  Peter’s analysis of Paul Ryan’s tax plan really exposes the box the Republicans have painted themselves in.

Ryan claims that the Republicans will close $1.1 Trillion in loopholes and deductions

But there are only 4 big deductions:
      – Home mortgage interest
      – State income taxes
      – Employer provided health care
      – Charitable deductions

The Romney plan depends on increasing the total amount of taxes paid to a
level large enough to cover the growth in government, inflation and the current $1.1T
deficit.  It is simply impossible and the Republicans are liars.  If Romney goes after those deductions like he must then you can forget about him pushing to eliminate extraterritorial taxation.

But what this really shows is that FATCA is integral to both parties’ platforms.  If doesn’t matter if it is closing loopholes and deductions or redistributing global wealth, your rulers want FATCA.  There is not hope for you, slave.  Comply.
