When these girls become adults and it is tax time, they may rejoice that not being US citizens they will not be subject to double taxation by the US. Thas is unless the IRS comes up with a rule that, for tax purposes, the are US citizens even though for every other purpose they are not.
I’m sure there are many duals born in other countries conceived this way will be eager to know if they are in fact US citizens if it relieves them of their tax filing obligations. In fact, some may even be entitled to a refund! What will likely happen is the US will bring these laws up to date and make them retroactive.
This is completely insane.

And what about in vitro tax laws? You know, the ill-conceived germs of an idea that are obviously cooked-up in some laboratory by over-stimulated, but intellectually-sterile politicians in the dead of the night, usually just before a bloated omnibus bill is due the next day?
I wonder if it would mean that you are not an American Citizen, but you are a US Person… expand the base.
